Grease Eraser Empty Grease Eraser

Post by ACpower1 Tue Dec 23, 2014 12:36 pm

Have been testing this stuff lately to see how it compares to Slop/gobble and pH10k

So far I like it a lot,    I think it doesnt quite clean as well as pH10k but I like that the odor is very light and almost odor free.

The dilution is definitely more than 10k,   6 1oz scoups is what is recommended on the container.

This carpet was not greasy but just really soiled because of a dirt driveway and dirty walkways.   This is one of our other VT wands that has a hybrid glide and I can say that after using both Im slotted only, cant stand the holed... you can see in the video it wont even pick up a few little crumbs we tracked in from outside

Post by milspec6 Tue Dec 23, 2014 1:56 pm

I had to laugh a little at this posting. Five years ago, I thought that I was an idiot for going with slotted glides as the holded glides were all the rage. Things have started to flip on the boards for the very reason that you mention.

If you really want to suck up debris, get a lip glide and start filling your filter with full cheetos Razz

Sometimes we get caught up in the horsepower race too much as to what glide pulls the most cfm that we forget about things like glogging. I know I have been guilty of chasing rainbows instead of paying attention to my needs in a tool.

As for the Grease Eraser, I have only used it on a few local diners that specialized in chicken-fried chicken. It did a very good job, but I never tried it on anything else to date.

Probably still have some in the basement....

How does Grease Eraser compare to Slop n Gobble? Just curious. So far Slop n Gobble has out cleaned everything else I've tried, but I haven't tried Grease Eraser.

I'm with you on the slotted glide. I have one wand with slots and one that is hybrid. Slots definitely pick up more debris from my experience.

I would say grease eraser is about the same as slop and gobble so far and I think slop is more for your money because it doesnt take as many scoups.

Ph10k cleans better than both but that kinda scares me as to whats in it.

These pre sprays are all pretty good.

Thanks for the info. I just cleaned a kitchen and bathroom with carpet in it and Slop n Gobble knocked it out of the park. The Yellow Truck Guys had already cleaned it and the customer wasn't happy. I'm the new cleaner now.
It's nice to know that Grease Eraser and Slop n Gobble are comparable.
Thanks again.

My experience has been,,,,,
When you get a heavy soiled , heavy hard core grease carpet, you will see the grease eraser blow slop n gobble away.

Regular to heavy soil, you wont see much difference.

BTW the recommended dilution of 3 oz per gallon is for Trashed carpet, or restaurant grease,,, for normal work 1 oz per gallon, then go to 2 oz for heavy soil, and then 3oz for the rat trash. it will cut like butter.

The first thing to be considered when comparing these two products is the additional oxidizing component that is present in the https://youtu.be/nQrdxtWgHbE

Not so much so if your already boosting with peroxide, which you should be doing on any job with a good amount of unknown spots.

Can't stress enough the fact that everyone should try prospective products for themselves, and make their own decisions, as individual results can vary greatly.

I found both to be kick ass products.

ya really pre sprays can vary in effectiveness in different areas of the US

partly because soil is very different in different areas, also the water can be different.

we have very dark wet soil here with little to no clay and soft water with neutral pH coming out of most every home until you get way outside the city.

I bought this a while back and only used it on dirty carpets, but recently I've been using it in every home and I really like it, it doesn't need to be boosted and it really cleans well, I had a dirty carpets in a bedroom full with hair dye, told the customers the dyes are not going to come out, sprayed it heavy and some of them lighten up a lot almost not noticeable anymore.

I will be using the Slop and G tomorrow night on some commercial. I mixed it way to weak the last time, so I am looking forward to see how it does mixed stronger.

Grease Eraser was always a good product...I guess it still is.

I just took a peek and it doesn't say the dilution ratio in Clean craft Web page for code green, it is $ 28 / gallon and it's liquid, how's the dilution ratio ?
It is a green product ! If it's strong enough to clean grease pit, I might be sold on this product.

Yes dp1! Code Green is an ecofriendly product and is a liquid and also very affordable (Best Bang for your $) shipping is quick and very reasonable. If your pre-treating then your looking at a 4-1 4oz for every gallon of water ratio - I highly recommend this !

If it's 4 to 1 ready to use ? Than we can't even put it in our hydroforce cause that dilutes it 9 to 1, at $ 27 / gallon, that seems a little high ?
My solution cost per job is less than $ 5 on average, I order in bulk usually ( by pail or box of 4 gallons ).
When I was cleaning a huge office today I started with grease eraser and as always the result was great, and when I ran out, I have a little bit of procyon and I used them all up, I regretted that so much, I had to spray 3 times as much and still have to spot clean some spots, I officially hate procyon and will not buy that again Sad

procyon powder not for commercial carpet really, its for relatively clean residential carpet or for upholstery.

does great on area rugs, upholstery and as an extraction detergent

I still like it a lot but dont use it when the carpets are trashed

I have to laugh, I remember Grease Eraser form chemietsers was the 1st "enzyme" Pre spray when it 1st came out in the early 80's. I remember a local dist. having a "class" on how to use it and so on. Time flies.

Yes, the good old days....I still remember them. I also remember how many cleaners said that enzymes wouldn't work and that they were not going to have time to allow the necessary dwell time. Things sure change.

I haven't tried it in years, but if you like enzyme cleaning, "Pro-Zyme" is one of the best that I have ever used. Cleans really well and brightens too. I have used it a lot over the years for both residential and commercial.

Peroxide with enzymes? Why does that not compute?
