Winter returned

Winter returned
Woke up today to 7 inches of snow with a real-feel temp of -4 and wind gusts over 35 mph.
I had planned on spending the day cleaning up the van and working on the box truck project now that I had the whole day off. I guess I will spend it now working the shovel and firing up that prehistoric snow blower that I have....built in 1969 and shoots flames, but I love the thing as it acts just as mad at the snow as me.
I'll save you a snow ball....who wants one?

LOL @ shoots flames, that's great to melt some of the snows, isn't it ?

Sounds exciting, I'd love to see some video of it in action!

Re: Winter returned
Forget the Super Bowl, just give the midwest a blizzard and everyone is happy.
That was all you heard yesterday, "Is it sticking yet". "I've heard over a foot tonight". "I just bought the new snow blower". "I better get to the store and stock up"....it was the only topic in town.
I just finished for now, cleared my driveway (100 x 40) of drifts well over a foot and didn't eat a trash can nor lose a toe. Sorry, no video, I needed both hands on the helm for this one.
Still, I will have to do it again later tonight when it blows back in, but it will not be as bad....just a whole lot colder and darker.
For those enjoying the sun, here is the view off my porch....should make you glad to be where you are.

Re: Winter returned
Rob I bought a snow plow for my ATV with winch and all and it hasn't snowed in a month. I haven't had a chance to use it yet Send some of that snow this way
Re: Winter returned
I wish I could....another 6 inches coming Wed. Minus 18 also in the forecast that night.
That groundhog better give me the right answer or I'm going to be wearing it as a hat.

Re: Winter returned
-18 wow.
Hope it warms up soon, so we can then complain about it being too hot.

Re: Winter returned
I never complain about the heat, it never bothers me, but your point is taken.
I have 2 heaters in the van running on high and it is only able to hold about 45 degrees in the day and 36 at night in this weather. I had to go out and winterize to make sure it survives.
