I played around with the site tried different skins and moved some forums around. I hung out with my brother in law talked about his Afghanistan experiences. Thank you vets.

Worked most of it and then cleaned out the garage, serviced the tnt, installed the new hose reels, welded up my used butler silencer, rebuilt a toilet tank, mowed the lawn, planted a pear tree, and managed to get a couple of 8 mile runs in there for good measure.

Not much for relaxation, but I feel a lot better when I get ahead on the chores list.

Tomorrow is the only day off I have this week and I have a list of 18 things to get done including installing the silencer and trying to get the tnt into the new home. Man, I already need a vacation from myself and it isn't even June yet. Mad

Well GEEZ, guess we can't expect anything less from Robo-Rob! wink

Sure makes me feel like a Turd lol for not doing much, except spending several hours trying to flush out my system so it doesn't keep clogging my filters, jets and hoses. But it wasn't a success, my first 2 sections of solution hose are still so clogged they only flow about 50% of the water they should! Sad And that's after I ran 1ph acid threw them and let it sit for 24 hours. I had to again replace the hose coming out of the back of the heater to the QD on front of the machine, because of total clog/lack of flow. 2nd time in about 2 weeks!! Evil or Very Mad

I thought fixing my LG heater and having high heat back was a great thing at the time, but I never imagined it would open this giant can of worms!......what a Nightmare!! What a Face

That clogging sounds horrible! Do they make a 50 foot long pipe cleaner?

There has to be a way to break that stuff down....

Looks like it's coming together AC. Did you end up buying in or out of town?

I just noticed everybody did some home maintenance. It's that time of the year.

Due to all the rain I have a jungle for a back yard. I need to do some painting and I was thinking about converting the carport into a garage so that I can store the two wheel toys and the carpet cleaning stuff I don't use

coming together slowly but surely. Finally got in a good groove installing that floor so its going fast now, found a special tapping tool thats made for their tounge and groove system so thats making a big difference.

I actually scored Mo, found a place thats just 10min north of seattle west of i5. Its 1.4 acres with a county owned 2 acres to the south thats too steep to ever develop. The guy didnt put any effort into getting it ready to sell,

he could have gotten 80-100k more if he would have cleared some land and the same remodeling Im going to finish in 2 weeks only spending about 3k.

property is really over grown so its going to be a big project to start getting it cleared but theres a solid 20,000 sqft flat area to build a big shop. Gotta save some money for the rest of this busy season then will get started on putting up a metal structure.

going to build one of these http://www.versatube.com

Flooring is actually fun once you get your routine down and it just flows from there.  Hard on the knees, but fun.

Home remods are very worthwhile and you get to look back with a great deal of pride when it is done.  The problem is that you never actually reach the point of being done.

When I bought my home (1860 Railroad built), I spent the first 3 years doing the remodel to include the installation of a full block basement.  I can honestly say with all my heart that if I ever get to meet Bob Villa, I am going to strangle him for making it look so easy. wink

ur right mil

learned after day one of the flooring that knee pads are crucial,   I was so beat after doing the first room.

after the second I felt like I could do it all day.

had to get some shoring poles today for a temporary support on a load bearing wall,     ripped out all the posts and beams and replaced with one big beam.

room looks huge now,    kitchen island/wall/posts are gone just a big open space into the living room

Good find AC, you found the size that you wanted and close to town.  Are they're any city regulations preventing you from building and running a business out of that property?

the zoning is good, theres a few businesses right up the road. You can almost always build a structure and run a business but some zones they draw the line with you being able to have actual signs out front.

the ones up the road have signs out front and fenced in yard for their trucks.

It going to be a big project to build a shop, once the interior of the house is ready for me to move in then Ill start clearing the land

I've cleared a few acres like that with a rented bobcat and the biggest chainsaw I could find.

Found more poison ivy than gold doing it too. Very Happy

I thinking of calling the goat guy. Theres so much lush green

will end up renting something, too bad because I used to have a bobcat 440.

might look for a cheap one on CL since renting one for a while will get expensive fast

I think the CL idea is a good one....that machine saved a ton of man-hours for me and it will hold its re-sale value.

The bad news is I didn't get a chance to use the blaster, the good new is I got the front yard cleaned up and carport emptied out.

I wanted to pour cement in the carport and covert it to a garage. Is $4.30 a good price to pour cement?

I use to be able to pour 8'x8' of 3.5" deep of cement pad for $62 delivered, but the price is now is $200 delivered.  Then add on  labor. Its good to get 3 bids in the building industry.
