The site is timing out on some posts again. It happened a while back and thought the situation had worked itself out. Here's the official word on the timing out of posts.

"Time out requests issues are not a "real" bug. This message is due to our anti-flood system. When the systems is detecting a massive flood attack, the system blocks it in order to protect our databases, and your forums...! Losing your posts Icon_wink

Indeed, in order to protect your forums, Forumotion (via its DataCenter) filters only legitimate traffic.

We can understand it is annoying for you but this technique is very effective to protect your forum. However, we are currently working with our Datacenter to improve those "adverse effects".

Thanks in advance for your understanding"

Looks like their Anti Flood System need some work because there's nothing more frustrating than writing a post and having it disappear smash pc

Can't you move it to other platform ? I know it's a lot of work, let me know if I can help, I don't mind to spend some $$ for a better forum.
I know you and everyone probably busy now, we can do it together in the winter if you want.

Am I the only one not experiencing this problem?

I have not lost any posts at all. The only thing that I experience is the "timed out" notice, but that hasn't happened in days either.

I'm using Google Chrome and the URL with "forumotion.com" in the address. What are you guys with the problems using?

That explains it.....I haven't allowed any updates lately to my browser.

There must be a compatibility issue from one of the updates....probably the services trying to speed things up again.

I use the phone and tablet browser, I also use "forumotion" at the end, otherwise my whole phone / tablet would freeze on me, regarding losing texts it happened once in a great while, it doesn't bother me that much but I'm sure a better platform would be nicer.

It's a wide spread problem they'll need to find a solution or forums are going to be leaving.
