Propane doesn't get into the metal like gasoline. So if you leave it open and all the fumes and smell is gone I have no problem boxing up and shipping an AIR TANK.

Cool and you don't need to ship using LTL you can go FedEx Ground. Does the tank have the gauge on the side like mine?

First yes Mo I have a tank with the Guage and reg on the side off a 3ht would take $175.00
Second I would like to sell the heater and tank as a package deal. That's how I wound up with it breaking up a package. You can sell the tank on your end.

laughing  That's what I told myself too Dave and I bought mine sight unseen. At least you can have ACE pressure test it for to make sure there are no leaks. If the coil is good then your golden.

Not necessarily, lol

The last one I bought didn't leak when I got it, and the guy told me there had never been a repair done on the coil..

Then a couple months later it was leaking, and getting to the leak to fix it I discovered a huge nasty patch/repair job and of course that's where it was now leaking on me.

The good part of that was I was able to solder it and it's still going leak free. But I don't have much confidence that it won't start leaking in that area again any day.

The only reason I bought this used one is because I got a really good deal on it and I wanted to move up to a 3 plus it came with a HX. If the coil goes I can buy a new coil and still be ahead.

Just buy a new coil then you know its good.

Well all I can say is my customer was using it up until he put a hx unit in. I have taken the top off and looked down inside, the coils are all the same color no signs of ever being heated with a torch no bulging in the lines or coils.
I haven't heard an offer. Just the heater new is almost $2200.00 the tank new is around $550.00.

I might just be doing that soon, because I'm tired of cleaning out my tool filters 2-3 times per job.

That would drive me nuts Dave....once in awhile, fine, but not multiple times a day.

It would be worth it to replace it at this point, sanity alone if nothing else.
