Re: Will this silencer work for my blower
I've never seen one like that, but I would think so?
I like the fact that it's made outa SS, it looks like?
Is the neck sticking up on right side to run the engine exhaust in to?

Re: Will this silencer work for my blower
Just looked it up online looks like it should work says that it is free flowing 22-38 dB reduction average vs nothing. Lookup cowl with the model # and it will give you a 800 number to call you could ask about the cfm it is rated for.

Re: Will this silencer work for my blower
The thing I didn't see is what cfm it's able to handle . If it can't handle the cfm's it will cause back pressure which a little bit will not hurt but to much slows the air flow and that effects suction and load on the motor. I agree with Rob looks like a good choice.

Re: Will this silencer work for my blower
I think it will work Mo! If you are worried about back pressure I would just go up one size in ports. I think this would be better than a regular muffler that is for sure....and you could easily wrap it with some Dyna mat to give it even more.....it looks like a good find mister.

Man, Eddie (Ace) sure is an asset to this forum. He knows all the stuff we Shade tree Cleaners don't, and I sure hope he sticks around here.
When he post I can barley detect his southern accent too.
Thanks for all your help Eddie!!

Thanks guys. I try to think about if it was my unit I over engineer bigger is better if 20 hp will work then 25 won't have to work as hard. Thats why I have 6 inch walls on my house more heat less energy. I just ask the questions to make you think about your equipment and business.

Do not waste your money Mo if you want to make your TM quieter get a positive blower silencer just by looking at the thickness of the metal is not going to give you the results you want ,been there my self

wow just watched that video, thats a pretty nice truck.. I think ive seen it before but with a different machine in the past or same company
Re: Will this silencer work for my blower
You tried a Cowl silencer before Gtech: I know a few TM manufactures use this brand silencer. Maybe I'll mount this one on the blower and the muffler below the vangtech12v wrote:Do not waste your money Mo if you want to make your TM quieter get a positive blower silencer just by looking at the thickness of the metal is not going to give you the results you want ,been there my self

Re: Will this silencer work for my blower
Here the Cowl silencer for the Boxer 423, called one disti and they didn't have a corresponding Manufactures part number. According to the spec sheet I posted the on cowl above its 316 thick aluminized steel
Re: Will this silencer work for my blower
Have you looked into a "Universal Silencer", MO?
I think they're the industry standard aren't they?

Re: Will this silencer work for my blower
I haven't Dave Ill take a look. I've seen a couple of TNTs with Cowl silencers before.
I called Inrelink they wanted 800.00 for that cowl silencer
And of course they don't have a corresponding manufactures part number.
I have a call in to a Cowl disty now

ya now I remember the name, I think it was just some bad blood with him and Joe or something.
looks like he has a lot of passion for carpet cleaning though and put a ton of work into that truck.
gave me a lot of ideas for the box truck, I need to get some shelving made

do you do night time commercial Mo? Our tnt is super loud because it echos inside the box truck, much quieter after I carpeted the floor and walls but its still really loud.
really no complaints though, actually think customers like the powerful sound
