i think i read about them on this forum (which i incorrectly thought was no longer here.)

has anyone used either of these products? i bought a gallon of each a couple months back and haven't had the courage to use them yet. what is the right time to use either product in my Cimex??

thanks for any insight Very Happy

just try them out on a small area of carpet, very unlikely any encap product will hurt a carpet so you prob cant lose.

main thing when considering encaps is if you want crystal forming or film forming.

If you encaping as a stand alone cleaning process then my opinion is crystal forming is the only legit way to go, the film forming ones I have tried need to be rinsed out.

I don't have any personal experience with either product, but I agree with AC on this one. My home is the testing ground for every chemical and tool that I own, it is the only way to ensure that results will be as expected in the field.

good stuff guys!

i've been CGD encap-only for the past 11 years...no way to test that in my home. the only "testing" is done on the actual paying job, something that i am very VERY hesitant about, hence this post Laughing i appreciate your input! since i heard about these products on this forum, i am looking for end-user feedback if at all possible Very Happy if i could put a signature on my posts, it would say, "CGD only, except for the 1 or 2 resi jobs every month."

I can point you in the direction of some really good encaps

but I dont remember anyone here ever mentioning those 2 above

the name power foam sounds more like a bonnet/shampoo cleaner

thanks acpower1 Very Happy i have been encap-only with my Cimex for the past 11 years, i do know of what i consider the best encap's. but as i think we all do, i am always looking for better. every couple years i find something new/better and switch, even though some of the encaps are 2-4 times the price of other products. idc about how much they cost really, i just want the best...being encap-only, i have to rely on the best cleaning sol's possible.
