Super Bowl Predictions
I thought that I better get this one in now.
Panthers win, but Denver keeps it close and Peyton gives one of his best performances in years. I see a final spread of not more than 6 points.
The only reason that I conclude this, instead of the Panthers steam rolling Denver like they did to the rest of the league, is for the following reasons:
1. Denver has absolutely no stress on them. They are huge under dogs while the Panthers would never live down a loss when favored by so much.
2. Peyton is playing in his final game and will likely tell the team that at some point during the game for a last bit of motivation. He also looks like a guy about to commit suicide in that he looks so relaxed and calm about the game. Denver's success is based on the defensive play and not on Peyton, so the pressure isn't there for probably the first time in Peyton's life during the post season. He will let it all fly in this game and just might post one of his best games of all time.
3. There was a lot of big money flooding into Vegas this weekend in support of Denver....I'm talking 6 figures by the pro betters, so they must suspect something.
So, there you go, my thoughts.
Panthers: 17
Broncos: 14

Re: Super Bowl Predictions
I think Denver will win, not because they're ahead now ( at half time ), but their defense has been solid, it's going to be a very close game though, I'm never good with score prediction, so I'll pass at that

Re: Super Bowl Predictions
I don't follow it over the season, but I like to study the match up for the Super Bowl...same way with Baseball these days.
I guess I just don't have the time to follow sports over a season any more.

The pass rush was the MVP of this game.
So glad Panthers the lost cause of the way the celebrated after beating the Cardinals

Re: Super Bowl Predictions
I saw at least 4 plays in that game that in no way were legit, either paid off players or its true and NFL has turned into a new age WWF
the sack-fumble for a TD was prob the worst.
the punt return for big yards was another really really bad one, no fair catch called.. he catches it, and 2 players behind him dont attempt in anyway to tackle him, one even lifted his hands off of him after the catch was made.
Im glad either way that denver won, I really didnt want to see cocky cam newton win.

Re: Super Bowl Predictions
That may have been what Vegas was reacting to prior to the game AC....a little fixing always helps adjust the odds.
I am also happy not to see players like Cam get to celebrate like a JV player who just scored his first touchdown. Mugging the camera doesn't impress me.
