Maybe I thought of it once but never tried it.

I was cleaning yesterday and the customer had a 10x12 rug to clean. I really didnt want to come back with the truck to pick it up. Finding the room in an e150 for a rub this size can be a challenge especially when you have a divider cage in the front

I laid on end of the the rug on top of the vac hose reel and just reeled that sucker in the van and because it was on top of the van I had more space for the length.

Of course I still tweaked a shoulder, pulled a groin muscle picking it up. So much for working out to be ready for the season. Im just getting to old for this shit

Get a helper and hardly touch the wand.     I come along and do quality control but not really bending over and cleaning too many steps lately.

Makes a lot of sense to have someone with you.      HOV lane,   way less hard labor,   can easily answer the phone on 2nd/3rd ring (which usually pays for the helper by not missing anything),      can spend way less time on each job making the service that much more convenient to the customer,

also leaves time to upsell a bit,   and establish a personal relationship with customer.

Right now I do the walkthrough while helper is laying the moving blankets,   corner guards,    bring in air movers.       By the time the walk through is done and final quote is agreed upon the pressure line is ran and hydroforce is waiting for me with pre spray mixed up.

He holds the line out of my way so I can pre spray without having to juggle it around at all then once the upstairs is sprayed and I started spraying the living/dining areas hes already running the vac line upstairs.

Usually when I finish pre spray the machine is full throttle,  little giant is lit and wand is waiting.

Then I let him do most of the wanding,   especially stairs LOL If they want protector I spray it with pump up right after the room is complete while he is working on the next

Why be the one digging the hole?   you can still just watch the hole be dug and make sure its done right
