I got a few gold mines for you guys that I dont want to post on the larger forums because I have a few competitors on there but ill gladly share here.

I met with the president of a pretty large house cleaning company today. They clean average 60 homes per day and have 30 techs plus 4 office personnel.

We met at a starbucks, he actually reached out to us after finding us online... and what caught his attention was that picture I posted of me and my buddy in front of the 2 trucks.

He wants to establish a relationship for us to handle all the carpet cleaning, they added it as a service a while back but then realized it takes more than what he had thought.

His current client database is 8000+ current customers, and from his website they are seeing approx 8-10 carpet cleaning requests per day.

This is by far the biggest connection I have made in this industry but I have 3 great networking avenues to share with you guys that are interested in growth.

- House cleaning companies

- Veterinary Clinics (pet damage jobs)

- Construction/ Remodel companies (post construction clean up/ dry wall dust removal from carpets/upholstery/rugs)

All three of those are excellent ways of getting big repeat business without sucking the Angie's List/Yelp tit. Hippo Peace Hippo

Some thing happened to me area years ago. Marry maids was mine; only, they were the sh**++*# jobs I ever had. After 45 days I told him "stop sending jobs my way".

I wonder why they would turn down that much work?

I teamed up with a franchise flood restoration company last year with a similar offer. Ended up a crappy deal as they wanted me to cover a 150 mile radius for jobs that would often be just one room.

It sure sounds like an awesome break....I hope it is what they advertise.

He doesnt want to deal with carpet cleaning,    he says his business can already be complicated enough and already knows how much the equipment investments and operating costs are.   He was first looking at a vlm/crb type set ups but quickly realized it wasnt something he wanted to deal with, plus their vehicles are small and dont really have the space

This is a high end cleaning company much different than maid brigade or similar.      He was obviously pretty successful from my first impression,   wasnt dressed like he just got done scrubbing an oven to say the least lol

Also before we set up the meeting during the initial phone call from him I told him our prices are on the higher end,    not a rinse and run type deal.       He was happy to hear that since his company is also higher on the pricing scale.

They could be lurking here dp but its unlikely,    there is I think 1 on TMF maybe 2.       This forum is much smaller,   pretty much just us same 10 people chatting lol

Nice!! Is he asking for a referral fee? One of my house cleaners gets 10% on the first referral of a customer. Its not in perpetuity.

You should just have a put a link directly to your website and vice versa

Cool ! Congrats AC ! Just make sure everything is on paper and signed by both of you, that way if anything goes south, you have proof.

he didnt specify a referral fee but I would give him one. He actually will just be putting us in contact with the customer and they will be scheduling directly, then we settle up with them directly so nothing is funneling through his business.

Just spoke with the companies operations manager today, really down to earth nice guy.

They spent $7500 on their website which reduced phone calls by approx 70%, a lot of that money was spent on custom coding to be able to have a really nice estimate form which can ask questions and customers can sign up right there. Then the client rep calls to book job and take credit card info.

In the last 17 days they have had 112 customers check off that they wanted a carpet cleaning on booked jobs.

I told him max we can handle is about another 2 jobs per day since we dont mind working late, well see how it goes but sounds like they have more requests than we can handle which could be an issue that needs attention lol

Sounds like a very exciting situation.....my pessimistic side always sends up flares on these deals, but you have your game together and I'm sure you can make this work.

More work than you can handle.....nice problem to have.

just depends if the people your dealing with are actually wanting to make a long lasting situation or just a situation where they want to send you the bad jobs or tough work.

These guys are pretty legit, I have a good sense of people and they dont send out any bad vibes

I am very big believer in going with the gut around people. If your gut instinct says legit, go with it and enjoy the huge break.

You guys are really catching a lot waves this year, I hope things open up for me half as much in June. I am down to just 6 more work days until I become unemployed for the first time in my life since I was 14.....and excited about it.
