Transferring photos Empty Transferring photos

My Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has stopped importing photos to my laptop. I have not had any problems before, just plug it into the port and select import using Windows, but now when I select it, I get a "No new photos" message even though there are indeed new photos on my phone.

It is driving me crazy, it just will not do it.......what changed that I am unaware of here?

I dont do the full import but just select view files and then under DCIM you can pick which ones you want to transfer, then just drag and drop

I get nothing.

When I plug into the port the dialog box comes up. I selected to view files, but I don't find the DCIM folder at all. When I select the phone, it shows zero items in the window.
