I think I am being set up

After dealing with my last flooded basement, my name has been going around the coconut telegraph. About 4 minutes ago, I started getting some strange text messages from people asking me about how I have been solving people's problems so much cheaper than the franchise disaster companies?

They almost sound like robots in that they keep referring to me as "Mr. Robert" and not really wanting to provide an address nor do they want to just talk on the phone directly.

I suspect that I have a couple of franchise disaster companies probing for ammunition to go on the attack. Too bad I know exactly what I am doing and more, know exactly what shady things they are doing. It has been entertaining so far.

What can I say, the truth hurts bozo. When you over-charge good people, expect to be called on it.

It is getting worse. One wants to pay a $1,000 deposit to conduct an assessment on a house a little more than a block from me.

Even funnier, they said that they just purchased the house a few days ago, but the key is still with the original owner. That house did sell about a week ago, but nothing is adding up at all.

Now the picture is clear.

The caller now tells me that she is in the hospital having cancer treatments and that she still owes the seller 15%, but he will not accept a credit card for the difference. So, I am expected to accept it and pay the seller.

These Scammers are getting really creative and high tech. The phone number is a local cell, they found a recent home sell, knew about the flooding, and found me.....that is a good days work right there. Too bad the result is drop dead and may you rot in a prison cell somewhere.

Yeah, a couple of months ago I was getting a few calls from operator that relay messages from deaf people, he / she said "do you clean area rugs ?" I said yes, he / she said "I have 10 Persian rugs to be cleaned, I don't care how much, I need to drop them off at your location" I said "we don't do drop offs, we do all cleanings at customer's location" then "click" hang up the phone.
Oh I forgot one thing, he / she asked if I take credit card, one of the call I actually told him / her after they asked if I clean area rugs, I said "I do ! And let me guess, you're going to ask me if I take credit cards or not, right ?" And they hang up right away, lol.

It is amazing how hard these people will work to rip people off.....must be a screw loose there somewhere.
