It happened or is really close anyway

Do you remember a little over a year ago when I predicted the need for a cleaning / deodorizing protocol for cannabis since some states have decided to legalize it? I know you all thought that I was joking, but I was being very serious as I was finding many hotels and homes complaining about the odors.

I kicked it around and made some contacts with the chemical gurus out there, but didn't really get it accomplished and lost interest.

Today, I see that CTI has a deodorizer for Cannibis as part of their "X-Cide" line of deodorizers. I think it is still in the beta test phase with the distributors, but it should be on the shelves real soon if it isn't already. Smells good, but I don't agree with their approach and might have to go back into my basement lab and build a different mouse trap while the window is still open....there is a market for it and the money will come to those that are ready to tackle it.

The boom from is not just in the cannabis industry but the supporting ancillary businesses. For example there is a fertilizer company here that has grown tremendously supplying the growers in the industry.

Funny, last year I did several pot houses in a short amount of time. And my van smelled for days.
And I was thinking the same thing about pot/odor control products.

Never thought about the van smelling like pot after a pot cleaning. Just try and explained that one to a cop that pulls you over

I know they were listening.....there was an article in the Distributor's trade magazine about the need just 4 months after I posted it. The author said that he got the idea of a cleaning site.

I'm sure that there will be other brands in the mix real soon if they don't already have one in the works.

The thing is that they chose to treat it like other smoke odors, which is not the right approach in my view. The oil content in one is greatly different and requires more than just a stronger scent....it needs to be eliminated.

Dry vapor maybe? "White Odor usage"? Still not certain yet.

I also had a break through on that wand design I PM'd a few of you about last year. I am checking to see if PMF will consider a prototype. So far, they said that they can certainly build it, but it would probably be too expensive to be viable.

I will keep you posted on these things as we go into the Fall months.

A couple of years ago my techs cleaned a dispensary, they said after that job was done if they get pulled over they would definitely gotten pat down and be asked to get out of the van, lol.
