This is a First

Post by milspec6 on Fri Sep 16, 2016 6:45 pm

Around here, Nebraska College football is like a religion to most of the population. Being a transplant, I could care less, but it does provide a good time to go shopping as most are glued to a tv during games.

Well, I just booked a job for tomorrow during the big game vs Oregon. She asked me if I minded cleaning during the game? I told her that I really didn't care for college football and she says "Great, you are just the cleaner that I need". confused

Then she tells me about what a football fanatic her husband was and how he has been preparing for this game all week. The only rooms she wants cleaned happen to be the only rooms with a television (Master Bed, Living Room, and Basement) and she said that they really aren't very dirty since they were cleaned about 3 months ago. confused

So, I am assuming that I am being hired to get even with the husband by ruining his football watching experience. I quoted her double expecting to avoid this issue and she gladly agreed to the price, so it looks like I am going into a hostile environment.

This is a first for me......hopefully, it doesn't end up with things being thrown. smash pc

It has now become a bidding war!

The husband stopped me and said "Forget it" when I arrived. I told him that I work what is scheduled and would rather clean now then waste my time and fuel.

He paid me my job minimum ($100) on the spot and re-scheduled for Monday. The wife is still arguing over it....I am going to stall some time and see if she counters the offer. Laughing
