spotting help
A friend has a off white formal dining room. A lady visitor had something on her shoe OR what ever they made the bottom of the shoe with; that caused a slight blue color transfer where her shoes were while sitting at the table.
I tried some citri solvent..nothing. And another spotter....nothing. NO color transfer to whiter Teri towel.
Any Thoughts? Pro choice power gel or prosolve gel...maybe?

Re: spotting help
Tough call without establishing what caused it, but if I had to guess.....it was tracked from the bathroom. I always start there so in this case, maybe some toilet bowl cleaner??? Especially since the owner probably cleaned up knowing there were going to be guests.
Avoid heat at this point and try Pro-Zyme if you have it or another enzymatic cleaner along with a little peroxide. Work it in with a shark and let it dwell for about 15 minutes before flushing with luke warm water.
That is my best advice without knowing more details.

Re: spotting help
You've tried solvent, so that's done, power gel is basically the same, so I would leave that option out, I would go with oxidizer / peroxide next, if that doesn't do anything, I would go with reducer and that would be my final step, if it doesn't come out, then either dye the stain if the carpet is nylon or wool, if not replace.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Could the shoes have a dye on them. If so a high pH traffic lane cleaner and white towel with iron transferMatt; My carpet cleaner wrote:A friend has a off white formal dining room. He said the lady came in thru the garage; it was raining.
The only thing I could think of is; the leather on bottom was dyed blue.
