Did a church and in the youth room they had some faint dye colors from silly string. I didn't even see or notice the color until the pastor pointed them out. Very faint color on a dark carpet.
Suggestions? Yes, the pastor said we'll never do that again.

No idea. I'd try a citrus cleaner but beyond that, what would work?

Red dye in a dark carpet, I don't think I would use a red out product. I'd be worried about fading the color of the carpet.

Silly String can really stain....seen some bad ones on upholstery. It will go away in time and after a few normal cleanings, but you could just try a heat transfer. I would avoid most stain products at this point due to the dark color of the carpet or you might end up with a permanent stain ghost.

I had a job a couple years ago with the Silly String in white carpet.   I just use the hottest water I could.   I use a propane heater. I turned it up all the way and the little bit of residue that was left of it I used formula 90 in a bucket with a little bit of prochem ultra pac. just a few drops of that and then scrub it with a brush then rinsed it out again. I got it out 100%.
