http://www.bbb.org/pittsburgh/news-events/bbb-scam-alerts/2016/10/bbb-scam-alert-can-you-hear-me/

I have been receiving several of these per week, but I had one yesterday that was not a recording. It was a live person that identified himself as representing a hotel chain followed immediately by "Can you hear me okay?". I gave him the "No, never, nodda, nothing, get lost....hung up".

As a business, you have to answer the phone and assume that it is a potential customer, but you also have to be very careful not say "yes" to any question until you know who you are dealing with. Sad state of affairs.

Yeah, I heard this from the news a few days ago and I honestly can't remember if I ever had this type of phone call, I might've gotten it from some robot call a few weeks ago.

I still get a lot of robot calls every day, but this one was not a robot and was a local number. They are getting braver, just be careful.

Oh sh&#. I just got off the phone with "a gogggle" specialist. He asked me if I'm the owner. And I said "yes".
I do need a new security system and a cruise to Barbados.

I'm getting one of those robo callers myself. Then small businesses can forward telemarketers # to it, and well call them 5+ time a day. Of course we'll change the caller I.d to show different #s each time. BUT, we'll base ur operation here in the U.S and hire hard working Americans. Bla, bla, bla..

No, but I like the sound of it.

I am starting to hand the robo calls to my cat.

Yeah, I tried to use nomorobo a while back but I used Vonage which is voip, I can't remember what issues I had but it did something that made me unable to use it.
I think it asked me to set up the numbers to be forwarded to nomorobo servers ? And I can't have them forwarded back to my cell ?
If you don't need to forward your calls, I think nomorobo is perfect, A couple customers referred them to me.
