I don't understand this.

I don't understand this.
My 2009 van's value is $ 11,000, that's a good condition even though I feel like it's a really good condition, here's the link on kbb value.
https://www.kbb.com/ford/e250-cargo/2009/commercial-van-3d/?vehicleid=226510&intent=trade-in-sell&mileage=72000&pricetype=private-party&options=7363508|true|2275416|true|2275493|true|6461792|true&condition=good
And the cheapest everest hp 650 is around 15 grand, that's just console and waste tank, mine comes complete with chemical rack, hose reels, hoses and Prochem pump out, everything was professionally installed, I've listed at 25 grand and I got stupid questions like "is the rotovac included ?" Or "oh I thought the price is well negotiable"
I know that people love great deal, but this whole thing used value is closer to $ 30,000, I think I put the price really fair at 25 grand, maybe I should just wait a few more months and list it at 28 grand ?

Re: I don't understand this.
I think that is part of it....timing. Around here anyway, nothing equipment-wise sells unless it is dirt cheap. By May, everything sells rapidly....cash flow helps a lot for sales.
Have you thrown it on ebay yet? Over the last 15 years I can honestly say that if you want to know the value of something, look there. It isn't full of bargains like it did when it started (very few actually) but the prices are generally a true market value.

The closer it gets to cleaning season the more serious offers you'll get. You may want to get more aggressive and list it with more places

Re: I don't understand this.
This close to tax time can make it tough to find the right buyer, but I would do what Mo suggested and place it on ebay at least.
Re: I don't understand this.
That's a great idea, ebay, and yes surprisingly the everest with the Nissan motor goes for $ 13 grand. Mine is the 650 with Hyundai motor.

Re: I don't understand this.
Both the Nissan and Hyundai are EFI, so I don't think they would matter much to me. Myself, I would be looking for maint. records on the machine and van. If you can provide those, you will find a buyer very quickly.
Re: I don't understand this.
Well unfortunately I only have receipts of parts purchased since my mechanic is not really doing mechanic work for a living, he's just doing it for 3 people that he knows very well and he's doing it on the driveway of his home, so I always pay him cash.
The buyer is going to have to take my word I guess, it's not really hard to inspect the unit out to figure out if it's well maintained or not right ? Well not really cause people can just clean the unit really well on the outside while the inside of components are rotting, shoot, I guess the potential buyer would have to take my word for it then, lol.
Btw it's listed on ebay now, see what happens, thanks guys.

Re: I don't understand this.
The only reason that I mentioned it is because the Everest (like many) is a pretty complex machine as far as having multiple sensors and junk that 90% of rug suckers do not understand and fear having to need repairs.
I know of one guy in my area that has been running one that randomly shuts down on him while cleaning. It always starts back up after a few minutes, so he has just been running it that way for at least 3 years now. He would get it fixed, but that means the unit will down for awhile and it will cost money.....he has no tolerance for either.
Simple machines like the TNT or direct drives don't scare cleaners, so are more likely to purchased a used one of those than a more refined design like your Everest which is more appealing when they are new and under warranty.
Personally, I think you are offering a great set-up and I would not be afraid of it one bit, but I am a tinkerer and believe that I could address any problems that I ran into. Hopefully, you reach a cleaner like myself.

Re: I don't understand this.
I sure hope so Bob, I had so much doubt when I was selling my blue line Thermalwave II a while back due to it's lack of heat and overheat issues, but after a few weeks a guy from north cali called and made a serious offer, and after countering the offer back and forth a few times we reached a deal and he came and inspected the unit and bought the unit, I forgot what month did I sell that unit, but I thought it shouldn't be this hard to sell an everest, I guess I'm wrong, this business is so unpredictable.
Regarding your friend's everest, I can almost guarantee you that one of the sensor is going out, or the other most common one is the float valve is going out and causing the machine to think the waste tank is full of water. If the unit has a computer, it will tell you where the problem is by the way the light blinks, after you write that down, call Chuck at Prochem and he will tell you where to look for possible issues. It is a complicated machine but I never had issues that my mechanic or Eddie can't resolve, unlike the Thermalwave II I had.

Re: I don't understand this.
Unless if I get a full price on it, then may be, lol, it has over 6200 hours though, not 5xxx hours like I thought.
I do change the oil every 100 hours and usually don't pay that much attention to the first digit, lol.

Re: I don't understand this.
It is easy for people to buy cheap units, so it has to be an established guy looking for the Everest......but they are out there to be sure.
