30 year reunion
I am about to leave to attend my 30 year HS reunion. This will be my first and likely only one I will ever attend as I find them useless. I wonder if prison inmates get together every 5 years as well?
The only reason I am going this time is that I was asked to attend and document the event for those could not. As the editor of the school paper and yearbook, they felt it remained my job. My co-editor was supposed to be helping but just told me she was going to be out of town at the last minute, so it will just be me.
I hate the event already and it doesn't start for couple of hours yet.

Re: 30 year reunion
I didn't like most of the people I went to school with, to begin with. I wouldn't waste my time associating with older versions of people I didn't like anyway.

Bob, you never know you might see that redhead that you had a crush on back then and she might still be single

Re: 30 year reunion
Nope, no redheads....just a bunch of people that were drinking and talking among themselves. Not much has changed except I was the rare one without a beer gut.
Saddest part was that all anyone had to talk about was politics and what people have been posting onto social media. Geez, I could have done that from home.
I did get to see one old friend that I hadn't heard from in 30 years, that was worth the rest of the irritation. I don't think I will attend another willingly.

Re: 30 year reunion
I think social media has all but killed reunions like those. The curiosity just isn't there like it would be otherwise.
