World Series.

I’m not a baseball guy but I’ve been watching the last 2 games and it’s been very interesting, Houston Astro is very good and I think they will win the series even though I still want Dodgers to win, what do you think ?

Admittedly, I haven't been excited about the World Series in a very long time (probably since the Twins played the Braves) but I do watch when an infrequent franchise makes it like KC did recently.

I would have enjoyed an Indians Series, but Dodgers - Astros....I have no interest.

I used to be a fanatic about baseball, what's going on, who's doing what, trades.... Baseball cards, baseball magizines, autographs, bobbleheads.
Not so more. I Follow the Mariners, and check in with standings.
All my autographed stuff is in the back of closet, sold my baseball cards(20k of them, yep 20k). Don't wear logoed stuff with pride(not even Seahawks.

Rootin for the Astros.

I used to be the same way Matt, a fanatical Tigers fan until around '94. I used to collect cards until Topps screwed me.

I forget which year it was now, but it was the first year that they introduced the "Black Gold" insert cards. At the start of the season, I got a winner card for the entire set and by the end of the season it was one of the most sought after insert sets with a value up over $1,000.

Once the season ended, Topps found that there was so much interest in that very limited set that they printed more of them and in record numbers. My set was now worth about $20 and could be purchased at Wal-Mart.

I gave my entire collection away and vowed to never buy any more. I still have that set in the original sealed package as well as some prestige basketball cards, but it is just in a box in the back of the closet.

Sports just don't interest me like they used to. There is just too much BS to it now with political statements and watering down of the rules to highlight the star players in every sport. the days of being able to follow your team from rookies to 10 year veterans are long gone and replaced with constant team jumping.

I do love watching old games from the '70's and '80's in every sport, but that is where I stay.

pretty surprising that the dude on the astros did that gesture pulling his eyes as if to mock an Asian person and hes not getting booted out of the series.

in this day and age thats pretty low,  they said it would affect his team too much but isnt that kinda the best way to punish him?

Yup, that sure is !
I honestly don’t really care about what kind of punishments they get for doing stupid things like that, a lot of people think he should be suspended in this series, but why punish the whole team for one individual’s stupid behavior ? Play on and like you said, it would affect his team and it showed last night.

No action needed by MLB, just let the pitcher plunk him next at bat and move on.
