Dealing with difficult real estate agent.
I did work for this guy at least twice in the past, the 2nd time it took him almost a month to pay and after numerous phone calls and texts and he just ignored them, he called last week, scheduled a job for this week ( yesterday ), went there, it’s 8000+ sq ft home with private tennis court, pool, etc, took me almost a half hour just to measure the carpet, comes out well over $ 1000, called him, no answer, texted him, told him the price and if he wants everything done, he needs to be here and pay first before I even pull my hoses out, he called and told me to skip master bedroom ( 900+ sq ft wool carpet ), that brought the price down to just under $ 1000, I agreed to run the card over the phone, asked for everything including complete billing address, I figured now I know where you live just in case if you want to be smart and chargeback the transaction, lol.
Owner came home and told me to clean master bedroom, okay, the machine was running 5 hours straight in over 100 degrees weather, boy was I glad when that job was done.

Way to get paid D P. Did he pay the outstanding invoice as well?
I work for PM that pay a slow at times but I end up getting paid.

I don't like working with people that pay slow.
If I didn't show up the day I said to do the work, how long would they stand for that?

No, he paid that invoice a month after I completed the work, if he hadn’t paid that invoice, I would probably hang up the phone when he called, it doesn’t matter even if the job is that big, once I don’t trust you, it will take a lot for you to earn that trust back, assuming I give you a second chance
James, dang right bruh, they probably will be on the phone with another cleaning company the next hour after your window of arrival time passed, that happens quite a bit here in LA, I tried to avoid that kind of job like a plague, I took it once and when I went there, the other company showed up and already pulled the hoses.

Re: Dealing with difficult real estate agent.
I do hate that type of customer. I cleaned a slum lord's apartment on Tuesday evening only because it was just 2 blocks from the post office. He tried every trick in the book to avoid paying me at the time of the job. A hundred excuses and promises, but his reputation is well known so I didn't even unload the van until he paid the bill in advance....still wanted to argue over price.
I have no use for those customers, but in your case, it was a good enough ticket to put up with some crap.
