Going back in time

Going back in time
I have decided to go back in time and return to a cash only approach in life. I had my ATM card dceclined at a store checkout today because some thief attempted to withdraw $300 from my account in a different city last night. They cancelled the card as a result (never bothered to call me with that information) and since it is a Sunday, there isn't much I could do to correct the situation. I now have to wait 7-10 days for a replacement. Even worse, I found out that my Savings ATM was cancelled a year ago due to a lack of usage (again no notifications) so I have no access to my accounts today and will have to take time off work just to get to the bank tomorrow to get some cash for the week.
So, to all the thieves out there in the world....F-you, I am going back to the stoneage and dumping such so-called conveniences of the ATM card. Just too many people out there with no morales looking for a free ride...not at my expense folks.

Re: Going back in time
I think you might spend less using cash only. I need a debit card to pay Bill's.
A few months ago I had 1500 stolen from my account and 1800 from my savings. No idea how the hell that happened i don't have a debit card linked to my savings account. BofA was pretty good at crediting my account but it was pretty scary. I had the issue cashiers checks for the balance of my account until I felt comfortable enough to use the bank again

That's what scares me Mo, I don't understand how they did it, but it seems like it is becoming way too common in the world. Cash and carry will be my new directive...they will have to at least rob me in the honest way now, with a gun.

You know.....going off the grid sounds better each day.

The only disadvantage of getting robbed of your cash is that the bank won't credit your account.

I actually think about it every week or so....times are just getting too crazy that I just want to walk away from the machine.
