Re: Your 5 top chemicals?
Lately,
procyon extreme - works great at 16oz in a 7qt hydroforce with no boosters, recommended is 16oz in 5qt
matrix miracle - for all bio stains, unknown stains, brightens carpet, and also of course for odor removal
red zone ready - easiest red remover ive found, no mixing/no 2 parts etc and really effective without steaming
citri-solv gel - for paint, ink, petroleum grease etc
fels bar
That arsenal will make just about any customer love you

Re: Your 5 top chemicals?
Pro's Choice Extreme Clean (90% of all commercial)
Soils and Oils (Super versatile for everything)
S/O Encap (Encap jobs and residential booster)
OSR (Urine jobs and as a booster)
Chemmax Ultra Dry (Best spotter there is)
Most of my work is commercial, so the Extreme Clean is my primary prespray as it works well and is very consistent. Boosted with OSR, it can handle pretty much anything except sever grease jobs.
Soils and Oils plus the Encap is my primary mix for all residential work. It handles the sensitive crowd, wool, upholstery, etc. It contains a drying agent and with the encap prevents wicking as well. Also economical by the drum.
OSR for urine work and boosting the Extreme Clean. Don't know what I would do without it at times.
Chemmax Ultra Dry spot cleaner is simply the best spotter I have ever used. It has worked on almost everything and with a pleasant scent. Buy it by the gallon and even used it straight to dry clean an expensive rug...great results.
With the addition of some red remover and gum solvent, I can cover it all with a small shelf of chemicals. I would add All-Fiber Rinse as an honorable mention since I no longer use a rinse, but I used to run it a lot...would again if my chem pump wasn't so crappy.

Vackaways Quantum Green and Encap Green, Oxyblaster for T&G, Deep Green Spot & Stain Remover, carry a bar of fels but always forget to use it. I just bought my first case of Proycons Xtreme Carpet cleaner hoping that will replace encap green. They're my top five because I don't want to carry anymore.
Re: Your 5 top chemicals?
Currently,
Grease Eraser, ,, Procyon extreme, Cobbs odor attack,(similar to matrix miracle) for urine odor and boosting pre sprays

I forgot the peroxide on my list.......I just didn't think of it as a chemical in my mind. Definitely put that on my list.
Re: Your 5 top chemicals?
Soils and Oils (boosted with peroxide) prespray.
This cleans 99% of what I come across.
Soils and Oils Encap. Best encap I've used. Best appearance before post vacuuming of the products I've tested. That being said I mainly use it as a rinse at 2oz/gallon metered at 2 gph.
27% liquid peroxide.
Great booster, deoderizer and stain remover. When added to prespray it's a knockout on most things.
Slop n Gobble prespray.
Knocks out severe grease and nasties, also great on tile and grout. Handles the small percentage that Soils and Oils won't get out.
Soils and Oils Solvent.
Kicks butt on most stains mixed at 3-1. Grease, tar, ink, gum, GKW (god knows what).
I like all these products because they work well and are fragrance free.

Well Devon, looks like you just found one of things that has changed over the years....the chemistry. Lots of good choices out there beyond the corrosive junk we used to push through the machines.

Re: Your 5 top chemicals?
This has been my most informative post so far!...No encap wasnt in my radar. some info in this area would be cool! I do have a friend who asked about it and has 16 commercial facilities that are fairly large. This will be part of his maint program im guessing.
