I'd think even with a 24 you should be good with the machine up by the door with 50-75' hose...........after all, isn't that the advantage to that machine?.......I rarely have more than 50-60' of hose from the front door in, at most jobs.

As far as the pump goes, its likely to be one of two things I'd guess..
1st off, are you mechanically inclined, and do you have tools, hopefully so??

OK the two things, I'd  start with..............
This is assuming all the plumbing is in tact and connected properly.

1) It just might need to be primed, especially if it's been sitting a long time, and/or air has gotten into the system.
Most times you can just leave you wand keyed for a couple min while the machine/pump is running and it will build pressure and start working.  If not then you might have to unscrew and remove the BPR knob, which is the knob you adjust water pressure at, and let some water flow out, then screw it back on and see if it pressurizes in a min or two.  If not then remove one of the big hex nuts on pump head, which there's probably 4 of if it's a 2 piston/plunger pump........6 nuts if it's a triplex pump.  It's usually best to remove one of the top ones, so you can fill the pump head with water, put the cap on and try running it again to see if it builds PSI.

2)If that doesn't work then I would remove the pump head, and inspect the low pressure seals in the head, because when those are worn out, it can be very difficult or impossible to build and maintain PSI.

Hope this helps...

The demons are very useful machines that deliver a very good cleaning impact. They were also highly over-priced and anyone who paid the 3k plus were too burned to sell them cheap. You find them on occasion, but most end up using them for high-rises and flood work.

You could look to the Steamax tsunami version. Same machine only in a stainless body really. Still not cheap, but a better deal over-all.

thanks a lot . I will try priming it. there is a valve that can be opened that runs over to the blower output. Do you know what this could be for?
