We are new to the carpet cleaning business, Me and a friend bought out a Carpet Cleaning company due to health problems with the previous owner. After Rebuilding the Van and Rebuilding the Truck mount we are ready to go. So with that said... Howdy out there!!

Fantastic, welcome to the insanity where everything is over-priced and the customers cheap. Very Happy

Just an aside, but you find a lot of "health issues" with old cleaners.....there is a warning there for you. Do things safely from lifting properly, diet, and control of chemical exposures. Gloves and eye protection are not sissy things, they are the professional things.

What is your market like? Which machine?

That last one in Matt's list is a very important one. If you find that you don't enjoy the work, bail right away. You can overcome a lot of things in this industry, but hating what you do is not fixable.

I suspect you will be enjoying it soon enough, though, it is during the winter when you start to not enjoy it as much. Your goal during the summer is to look around for a heated garage if you don't already have access to one.
