Yeah I'm kinda on the same boat Bob, currently I have 2 high ticket items for sale on CL, I have to keep updating my listings due to these idiots, I had someone offered my 2010 ford E 250 with Everest in it and rotovac 360i and tile spinner and drimaster upholstery tool for $ 12,500, I listed it at $ 25 k.

If you have actual gift certificates, you could use them for promo for your business. Run some kind of contest for a "dinner for two" prize. FaceBook shares/likes, referrals, or whatever you think of.

You could also use them for a "thank you" to new clients that book bigger jobs, or whatever you think of.

That's a great idea James !!
I would ask for multi $ 50 cards, they won't say no to that especially when you tell them that you will be sharing those cards with your customers, restaurants will get more "new" customers and you will have very happy customers Mo.

Last year I gave my best two clients (that spend a ton of money with me every year) a 100 dollar gift certificate each, for a local winery. This year it will be to a local butcher for BBQ season.

It's a small amount of money in comparison to what they spend with me, but it builds the relationship and makes people feel subconsciously obligated to keep using me. I'd hate to lose either of them, and if that small token keeps them with me, it's a cheap investment.
