Re: see ya!!!!!
Gone fishing? You will have all winter to do that, this is the home stretch for the season. Maybe I am the only one drowning?
Enjoy the time off Matt.

Davey, wasn't it?
Have fun Matt. I have been trying to get out fishing all summer. Been too busy with everything. My Kayak just collected dust this year.
Oh well, there is always the ice season!

Re: see ya!!!!!
Wow, what a day!
2.5hr drive to meet the guide at 6. A.M. got there to the boat at 6:05. Had to take care of some businesses first. Otherwise I'd have been on time
Me and an Old couple + guide.
I hooked the first one in 10 min. Hooked; not netted and in the boat.
It was lightly raining for 30 min. Then cleared up for 2 hrs. Was about 60° out. I was comfy. The old lady complained the whole time.
-I had my 2 fish, and the old gent had his 2. Trying to get the last one when..… a sudden, constant rain fell. All of a sudden the old lady was shivering like a hooked Tuna. Real bad. We pulled in 4 lines and booked it to the dock so fast. Got her in their truck with heat. As we left, I asked the gent if she'd be OK. "Yes", he said. Whew!
-I left, got 4-5 miles down the road to a quick mart for iceing my salmon. Couldn't find my phone. I looked all over the car 4X. Asked a guy to help by calling my #. Nothing, no ring or vibrate.
He ask where I came from and what I was doing; he asked to see the salmon. Then he showed me "the Cougar" he bagged. Cool! He left, I gave the car another go over, as I was considering going back to the boat launch.
-there it was! By the head rest of the back seat. When leaving the boat; with salmon in a bag, day pack with snacks, coat, glove... And afew other things in my hands(as the rains came down), I was throwing stuff in the back seat to free up my hands, so I could open the trunk and put the bag of salmon in the cooler. I had set the phone by the headrest as a quick way to free up hands. Oh boy
-did I mention about almost getting my car towed? From almost the middle of nowhere to? As in "I would have had NO idea where they took it. Brain farted: parked on wrong side of a "no parking" sign. Had to bribe the driver with $50 to not tow it. He was litterlly about to put the hooks on it when I walked up. 30 seconds later, I would have been out of luck, and up a creek.
- got home, smoked one fish and deep freezed the other.
Anyone know what a "Tule" is???

Re: see ya!!!!!
I am one of the world's worst fisherman, but I love how all fishing trips sound about the same. Good times, bad times, screw ups, and at the end of the day, a great time.
Poor lady though, hypothermia can be painful. Moist skin loses heat 30% faster so when you are wet, those 60 degrees can be miserable. I've seen swimmers suffer a bad case of hypothermia in near 70 degree water.
