Weather Concerns
As I sit here, the house is shaking from the rolling thunder and the sky is a pale yellow....welcome to twister alley. It looks like a good blow is on the way and my van is stuck outside since the TNT project kind of took over the garage right now.
I never worry about the house as it has been through it all since 1860...it isn't going any place, but the van is another story. The hail stones are starting to grow in size and the winds are increasing...hopefully, the twisters stay away this time.
It was so much more fun when you didn't own anything and could just watch these harsh storms roll in for excitement. To be a kid again.....

That's not good
Can't you scoot things over and stuff the van in there to be safe than sorry ?

Re: Weather Concerns
Thanks for reminding me about the heat....weather is just one of those variables that I don't get to control and I hate it.
A bit of a control freak, I guess.

I don't much care for heat either, but lucky we don't get much here or the humility which makes it worse!

Re: Weather Concerns
Rob, hope all turned out find. We got a little hail damage two em weeks ago on the roof of the house. As for heat, we are cooking here in the Carolina's, it's been in the low 90's the last five days. It's nice, but it's hot. Spent the day at the pool yesterday. Humidity is working it's way up there too.

Re: Weather Concerns
I got really lucky, the straight line winds and twisters stayed about 12 miles to the South of me. It wiped out a lot of power lines, uprooted trees, and demolished about 50 homes. I just had some siding get blown off of the garage.
I can deal with the heat and humidty as it is at least predictable. Snow, twisters, heavy rains, etc. just infuriate me....all I can do is watch.

I'm in Calgary Alberta. No big deal about the roof, just selling this house so I was hoping for the yearly hail attack so I could get a free roof. I'm not new here just don't get online often to see what's happening. Joe would remember me if I gave him a ring. Hi Joe.
