Rotovac sheardry Uph tool review
What do you get in the box?
This tool comes with a plastic molded cleaning head, 10 feet of 1 1/2" very flexible hose, PMF trigger valve and a regulator valve (from Italy!). It is very light and does not cause fatigue when in use. Even though high water temperatures are used, the handle does not get hot due to good air flow. The tool has a high flow of water and does not create a problem with drying and flushes the fabric exceptionally well. When the trigger is pulled at the highest flow rate and off of the fabric, it will shoot two streams of water from the shear head. The regulator valve is a breeze to use even though it is at the end of the hose. Once I set it, I didn't have to go back and mess with it.
There is no irritating whistle when using the vacuum relief valve and the shape of the head makes it easy to access crevices and edges.
Maintenance: Cleaning the head is easy and only requires removing three screws and a total of four minutes to finish it. The shear head can be replaced for approximately $19.
Pros: Extremely high flow rate
Excellent water recovery
Ease of use
Appears to be well built
Fair price (call Wanders Products for more info)
Con: Lock nut for trigger valve fell off due to a bolt that was too short to catch the lock nut nylon - cheap to fix and replace
Wish it came with a 2" hose adaptor instead of having to buy the correct adaptor

I wonder how it compares to the ss tool. So the only difference is it doesn't have a trigger lock and it shoots water out the sides. Joe maybe you can send the tool to the guys that did the SS loaner or send it to Ryan and Mil they both own the SS tool.
Re: Rotovac sheardry Uph tool review
I have not used the Sapphire tool yet.The rotovac works so much better then the hydra master tool.
Re: Rotovac sheardry Uph tool review
Seaswirl I left a phone message for you last week. I think I can ship your 12 jars of deep green though FedEx ground at a better rate than usps but I cant send it to a PO box. If not I'll just send usps for 23.oo plus dollars
Sorry for the hijack but seaswirl is pretty tough to get a hold of.
Put me on the list for the Shear Dry review Joe

Mo i left you a message on your cell phone. Send it how ever you wish. Thank you
Re: Rotovac sheardry Uph tool review
Sorry about that. This new cell phone of mine sucks. I'm going back to Verizon. I'll email an invoice for the shipping and get it out today address removed.
Re: Rotovac sheardry Uph tool review
Mo, It didnt shoot water out the sides. Only at a high water flow with the tool off the fabric did it shoot a stream to the front and back, not a problem the tool works great im not sending it back. It makes cleaning easy and does a great job.
Re: Rotovac sheardry Uph tool review
I can't wait to try it. We just have to figure out a quick and easy way to go from continuous flow to intermittent and vise versa
Re: Rotovac sheardry Uph tool review
You can put me on the list to try it. I've tried the SS and just got the new Hydramaster DriMaster III that I love. I would love to do some comparisons.
Hey Seaswril, which HydraMaster tool were you comparing it to?

The old all black Drimaster tool. The metal lips always caused me problems.
Re: Rotovac sheardry Uph tool review
I've heard that those lips were a pain in the a$$.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Rotovac sheardry Uph tool review
^^The DM2 SS lips have only required maintenance once on mine, but only after a couple years of use.....and have been fine for the last 1+ yrs since then.
I'd also like to check out that Rotovac tool too, I could compare it to the Sapphire tool I just won, and my DM2.
And maybe since I'm on the West Coast I'd be one of the first to try it before it heads East.

What do you think, DM3 vs. the Sapphire? Do You like the DM better?....
I think I do, but I still haven't used the Sapphire enough to really say for sure!

I've found that the DM3 is more comfortable to use than the Sapphire. You can hold it so many different ways. Hand fatigue is a lot less. They are both excellent tools however. After I use it some more I'll post a full review.

Re: Rotovac sheardry Uph tool review
Today i did two tweed like sofas with the Rotovac Sheardry. Dry vacuumed first then pre sprayed. The owner has a small white haired dog,in the past the hair was hard to remove the sofas are red so white hair stands out. So i started to clean and to my surprize the white hair was gone. Another plus for this tool.
Re: Rotovac sheardry Uph tool review
What helps that tool pull out hair better than the SS or any other upholstery tool?
Re: Rotovac sheardry Uph tool review
Mo, Not sure why it just removed it with out going back over it again. It may not work on some other fabrics as well. I have always had problems getting hair out of some sofas like the ones i did today. Will keep you posted. I can't compare it to the SS tool, have not used it yet.
Re: Rotovac sheardry Uph tool review
Did 66 chairs at a Resort i do work for today. The Rotovac Shear dry tool works great! No hand pain just clean chairs.
