This is classic
I was driving back from a house clean and passed through one of my small towns along the route. It was strange to see that there was a lot of traffic, never seen that before. So, I tried looking around the vehicles in front of me (truck full of teens acting like idiots in the bed) and saw a bunch of police and fire trucks several blocks ahead...must be a bad accident.
So, I settled in for a slow progression and checked my messages. We were moving at about 5 mph, but at least it was a steady pace and there was only about 3 miles until it connected back up to the highway, so I just accepted the situation. After-all, can't complain much when there might be people dead up ahead in the crash.
When I finally reached the police cars I realized my big mistake. They were having a freakin parade and I was accidentally in it!!! Stupid, stupid, stupid...must have missed the signs. I thought about continuing for the advertising, but my tank was full and stinking, so decided that this was not a good time to meet the public.
Thankfully, the cops were able to halt traffic and get me onto a side street before I reached the meat of the parade route. It took me forever to get back home taking gravel roads, but you can't beat the weirdness of the day.
Anyone else have one of those "funny thing happened on the way to..." experiences lately? It still cracks me up, maybe I should have continured down the route leaking waste water the whole way.

I never trust my gps since it told me to turn left and all there was there was a boat ramp and a river. I think it is possessed and trying to kill me
