Hoss Rotary Extractor
Up close and personal with the Hoss. This machine looks very well built and didn't look heavy when he picked it up
Re: Hoss Rotary Extractor
I had one to use for the past 10 day. I really liked it, but it is heavy compared to the rotovac. It cleaned real good, and it was actually a work out compared to the rotovac. For the type of jobs that I do I do not think the Hoss would work for me. It is really well built.
Re: Hoss Rotary Extractor
I've been using mine for a few weeks now and I am beginning to really appreciate it. The weight is balanced and easy to cary compared to the rx-20 or a 175 and it does clean very well. So far, I find no over-wetting issues and I run it without the restrictors.
The only negatives that I have found are the following 2:
1. I don't like that it rests on the base plate. I worry about it when sliding it in and out of the van as well as just setting it down. I haven't seen any damage yet, except for a small stone getting wedged in the vacuum slot, but it still begs for a cover or some sort of cap for storage.
2. The pressure line connection could use a little insulation or minor relocation as I tend to lightly burn my hand if not careful as it sits near your right hand. A simple insulation cover would solve this issue, which I have added, but would have been nice to have it come that way.

Re: Hoss Rotary Extractor
Be careful around that plastic sight cap. It breaks easy.
