Joe's new Wand Assist Handle

I got tired of selling my VT wands with the cheesy Assist handle I got from Tony Dang. After all, everything else was custom.





Went to the WestPak Assist for its sleek look...



but it loses its vinyl jacket as quick as their Soft Touch Trigger valve lever does.
Plus, they got away from Aluminum and went to steel which adds almost a pound of weight.

So I went to a lighterweight version with some length to it...


Got em off an ebay guy but he ran out and didn't expect anymore, anytime soon.

So I decided to go after the Prochem / Stanley long handle ? mark style.  Traded a long section of 3/8" Schieffer steelbraid for one of Mike Wallace's custom made handles...
He really did a fine job.


I liked the feel of it but not the size or weight; just too heavy for me. I want no weight in a wand especially up high ...

So I finally got out the pencil and sketched something out on my own...



which turned into ...



which came out like this...

I'm happy with the prototype, enough to go to production.
Lightweight, reinforced Fiberglass with extended reach and cushy foam grip, and a very strong grab onto the tube.
Hopefully a winner, it'll be done soon in sizes 1 3/4" and 2".  Brevik, don't even think of asking for 1 1/2"
Being a molded piece ya never know if it will be liked til you plunk down a bunch of dough and get it done & out there.
I figure it can't be any worse than what I got from Vietnam Tony.

In the real world you put real money down on the table and if you're any good real cleaners will join you.

I like it. My vt14 handle is finally broke. I think techs have dropped down on ground too many times. I will be ordering one when available.

It's pretty tough.

My color choices would be black, green, and black........in that order...........the same either way you read it!

Blue, Red and White would be my choice of colors, wait white would show too much scratches if dropped, ok may be black as the last color option for me.

People like the Henry Ford color options...anything as long as it is black

I was actually thinking Bright Blue or Red...something that stands out, it is a pimped wand isn't it? Since when does a pimp dress like a Quaker?

I guess Black or Silver would work too....

Looks good Joe, those custom handle cost me about $150 a piece to have made. I guess that's because I only had a few made. I will definitely be ordering a couple when there ready. Do you know how much there going to be.

Those look fantastic Joe, Great job!! Will they be standard issue on your wands?

You can put me down for two. Always hated the ones that come with the wand. The plastic cover peels off.

I see it being easier on the back, with it being teller you don't have to bend as much...and gives you more leverage. Not to mention it looks trick!
