Placed a small order to Cobb's.
I got a gallon of his grout sealer, a jug of PowerMax, 2# jug of odor attack and stain remover, and a gallon of his Haitian cotton shampoo.
I have heard from other place, quite a bit of positive feedback of the Powermax and the grout sealer. Sounds like Powermax is like Bio Break with citrus. Guess I'll find out.
Any of you guys have favorites or products of his you don't like?

Re: Placed a small order to Cobb's.
I carry power max, the main advise on that product,,
take the recommended dilution rate off the lable and burn it.
2 oz per gallon will clean just about anything you come across, 4 oz per gallon will smash the rat holes.
It is WAY better then bio break.
Oder attak works great at half the recommended dilution,

Re: Placed a small order to Cobb's.
Is powermax hot enough for grease pits?
I have never used any of Cobb's stuff before, and am giving them a try. Interlink seems to have jumped prices over the past year. Not like I used much of their stuff before, but I did use a little bit of it.
I know looking over his site, it's a PIA to find stuff. It's not categorized very well. Kinda why I asked if everyone had favorites or disliked products.
Thanks for the dilution ratio heads up.

It sounds like a strong product, when you say 2 Oz per gallon, I assume that's pump up or electric sprayer and not a hydroforce ?

Re: Placed a small order to Cobb's.
Freemind, yes it is strong enough for grease pits or trashed carpet, one of the best presprays I've used,
Dp1 , 2oz per RTU gallon, OR 8 oz in my 4-1 hydro, that will clean about everything even real dirty stuff, I double that dilution for the rat holes.,, or grease pits.

Wow, pretty cheap $ 106 for a 45 lbs pail with that kind of dilution, I wonder if they do a free shipping with certain amount of order like Jondon gives free freight with $ 350 purchase.

Re: Placed a small order to Cobb's.
I'm in the market for some new pre spray too. Freemind. I started a topic on the sealer and it definitely repelled water by the looks of the picture that I took.
As far as its durably? We shall see.

Saw your vid. I will look forward to your feedback on it Mo.
If the PowerMax is as great as everyone says, it will become my carpet/tile chem. I was looking at buying some Viper Venom with citrus. 50 bucks a jug plus shipping.
I'm trying to move away from liquid chems, as much as I can.

Re: Placed a small order to Cobb's.
ph 10k
unstoppable and green. no need for acid rinse, zero foaming, very water soluble
takes any white carpet and makes it 10x brighter also using it for all my filtration lines
Im going to post a video of what this stuff does to filtration lines, if anything grab some just for that.

Is that 10k a product from Cobb?
Do they still have that first order min charge, or whatever it is??

Re: Placed a small order to Cobb's.
you just have to try it and find out. I have not used powermax but I have used most everything else out there and none of it is as impressive.
powermax is some harsh stuff, I remember reading about it a while back... I am green cleaning only, this is very very important to many of my customers and myself.
I know there are different standards for green out there but I wont use anything that doesnt meet at least "green" standards..... which is a pretty loose term, so if it cant even meet that then its some bad stuff you shouldnt be working with daily.
this is of course not including specialty spotters etc that we use in very small amounts just for red stains etc. One reason I was reluctant to get into tile/grout cleanings but I just wear a mask, 2790 and uni tek both have really harsh smells

Re: Placed a small order to Cobb's.
Powermax isn't to bad, but it does have delimonine, the smell is rather mild and pleasant.
I understand health concerns, one of the reasons I was going to switch from powermax to grease eraser on my next bucket order. (my heavy hitter pre spray)
This ph stuff has my interest , I'm tempted to get a box of it instead.

Re: Placed a small order to Cobb's.
you have to call chemtex in houston, its called ph10k
its not listed on their website because its proprietary for a large company down there, chemtex buys it by the pallet and is allowed to resale in smaller quantities

Hi Jeff, apparently we're talking about 2 different products here, AC is talking about a product called ph10k from chemtex and that's ph 10, the others are talking about powermax from cobbs, that's ph 11 for the nasties and apartments and such.

Re: Placed a small order to Cobb's.
In this age, just about all pre-sprays are effective aren't they? I can go to the basement and pull out 10 different ones and they will all work okay. The difference comes in the other variables.
Some are less costly, some smell better, some are healthier for the cleaner, some are more available, etc. Those are the variables that matter to each cleaner and each cleaner has different goals / desires.
For me, it is still about my health and the customer's health in my selections. I have been breathing this stuff since the late 80's and I feel it these days.
If you intend to stick around as a cleaner for the next xx number of years, don't forget your health...you don't want to work this hard to end up on the couch with an oxygen bottle when your are done.
I'm not saying any of the above examples are a big problem, but I get worried when I hear people discussing sprays only in the terms of its cleaning ability...there is more to it than that in my view.

Re: Placed a small order to Cobb's.
slop works good if you need to add some smelly stuff to your prespray, as it doesnt really have a fragrance of its own....and yes 1oz a gallon works for its dilution
Cobbs yes it cleans damn near everything, and i put it in my 7qt inline with no tip, and put 20 oz per sprayer.....a while back i did a bucket test and it puts out around 10 gallons give or take a gal, depending on the day lol
both rinse real well, fresh water only, and on grease pits i do regularly i switch between the 2, because i have found over time it seems the grease doesnt break down as well when sticking with just 1 (which is why people probably keep trying new stuff)

Re: Placed a small order to Cobb's.
Floor Guy, that is a good point about switching chemicals. Never thought about it. I have gone to Grease Eraser for greasy nasties with S.O.E.. Boost with straight 27% peroxide( cup a gallon ) and 2-4 oz's per gallon of odorless ammonia. Today my battery sprayer was clogging up at filter in sprayer. I know this has been mentioned, but cannot find. Why does this happen and how to avoid. Also, for above chemicals mentioned, do you guys ever boost them? Thanks.
