Shark grout brush

Anyone used this grout brush before ? How's your experience with it ? In the instructions page, it's very limited usage due to the hardness of the bristles, it didn't even list clay tiles or travertine tiles.

I started a thread awhile back, bout this very brush.

But good luck finding it on this forums worthless search function.......I tried and can't find it! laughing

Bottom line, brush works great but has a short life span. I just got the new mini shark, and it looks way more useful than any other hand grout brush.......haven't used it yet tho.

Dave, I think I remember the thread however I think it was on the other forum, and I don't remember people's responses, lol.
When you say short life, how short ? I think you clean a lot more tiles than I do, right ? I never like t & g, except for the time to collect the payment on t & g job, lol.

The first one lasted a couple sm,all jobs, the second one a bit longer, on my 3rd now in a year.

But as good at it works I think it's worth it.

Seemed quite sturdy to me. However I have never scrubbed an entire job with it. I have only hit the area in front of ovens and even then only a half dozen or so times. I use Tile Master btw.

They sell 2 kinds as I remember. One with grit on the bristles and one with out. They do wear out very fast. I prefer the softer ones made by? The softer bristle enables better contact of the grout lines. You can also trim them down easier when they get worn out. I will cut some of the bristles away leaving a sharper peak or point as they age. Not a fan of the shark brushes.

I thought the blue one did a better job than the red one. Diablo which softer are you talking about?

I bought two of the blue one from Jon Don and the other one from interlink I believe they were definitely not the same. One was stiffer than the other but I broke both of them at the hinge.

This one is White, forgot where I got it. I have taken to installing hose clamps around the swivel to strenghten it up at that point. I will look into where I got it, it has a softer bristle than the shark, better contact.

Here it is, I like this one, looks like the blue one, think the bristles are softer yet still stiff, scrubs better, looking into one of those Orek orbiters. If I can find one at a decent price I will use that for tile.

I still have a few of the blue ones, but you say the white ones have softer bristles and scrubs better?

Are they the same brand...maybe a re-design or something?

They are very hard and stiff.....didnt like them that much...

Preferred one i bought at Home depot, and then drilled out and put a bolt through instead of the crappy plastic they have holding it on

With the Shark brushes the red one has a stiffer brush than the blue one but I felt the blue one cleaned better. With the blues one the harder bristle brushe cleaned better

Thanks guys, jondon has the white grout brush too, I think I'll buy both and see which one I like better and let y'all know.

Don't bother with the Dirty Demon, the center bristles are too soft to really be effective, just stick to the Shark.

I have two you can have for free. LOL
