If I were to get this machine for cheap
http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/bfs/4721721297.html

is there any possible problems I might run into just disconnecting all the sensors and extra wiring so its just a motor running a blower and pump? Also is it bad in anyway to have the little giant fed by the semi hot water coming from this machine? other than pressure cause that LG is 600max

The burner will not fire properly if the inlet water was too hot, so yes that could be an issue. When I was looking to add an LG to my butler unit, they told me that I would have turn down my machine's heat to make it work.

As for stripping it down to the basics, I would look more for a machine that only has the basics. For that money, you can find better that will not mods.

I may be able to get that machine for closer to 2 grand. It only has 1100hrs so not too bad, looked at it and its very clean inside.

I am leaning more towards the hydracat Andy has that he may sell.

That is a pretty good price, but I would still look more at the hydracat probably.

There are other units popping up around here now that the temps have dipped below freezing, so the patient cleaner with cash should be able to score something pretty good in November.
