Procyon Extreme Carpet Cleaner Review

I actually got the free samples from them last year and the thing still sits on my shelf and in my van, lol.

It sure seems that way doesn't. But then again it wouldn't be any fun show before and after pics of clean looking  carpet

I use the Procyon powder and love it. It work great hot or cold. I just tried their grout cleaner and like that too so far.

Never had an issue.

On the Xtreme label it says the hotter the better

I have to admit it Joe, I always thought it required high heat to be effective. That is why I never tried it actually, just don't have that at times.

For the job I did on the video I use hot tap water

Hot tap water.......100 degrees?

I've been using procyon extreme exclusively for my vlm cleaning the last year or so. I love it ,

it s great as a hwe pre spray too, and wool safe,

cold water no problem with this stuff,

wow, I think ill give procyon another try. I ran through a jug of the powder about 4yrs ago but that was in the portable days and I didnt know what to look for like I do these days.

Procyon is definitely a very safe product from what I have read.

so the xtreme one is an encap solution?

did you have to aggitate that job Mo? has anyone tried their stuff with no crb/175?

The new extreame is a great pre spray for both VLM and HWE, states on the label that it can be used as an encap . But I never straight encapped with it.

spray it down give it a little scrub, then pad clean or HWE clean, you will be impressed.

Cool, Im excited to revisit their products.. I would like a really safe pre spray that can handle medium soiling without needing a crb or heavy scrub.

I like s/o but we can only get results when a heavy scrubbing is done, even light soil you just have to scrub it in or the results are very minimal

I dont mind scrubbing when its really needed, actually speeds up the cleaning but usually these jobs we are charging extra for restoration/lack of maintenance. When its really light soil I dont want to bust out the crb and scrub the whole house.

I'm looking forward to trying it. Has anyone used their regular carpet cleaner or powder? Any thoughts? I watched some of the videos and it looks like it can clean some really soiled carpet.

AC, Because you live in WA, there is a good chance that you can find the liquid procyon at your local grocery store. It works great too , and cheaper.

I noticed that too AC when I went back to Vackaway. It became a habit to boost with peroxide with S/O but I used the VLM S/O no experience with the HWE stuff. Like I said before I think encap is a VLM product that needs to be scrubbed in order to get it the best results.

All of the encap makers came out with a HWE products to get a piece of the HWE pie.  I pulled the hose out of my MS sprayer and the line was full of a soapy stick slush. So I would imagine the guys that are using encap and don't have last step chemical injection probably have that slush in their line, But then again I don't rinse that multi sprayer every day eitehr

If you guys are raving about it, I might try it myself, it's a little bit on the expensive side because of the dilution ratio, my current pre spray comes out to only a couple of bucks per gallon of rtu, this stuff comes out to $ 7 / rtu gallon, may be more after shipping costs is tagged on there.

Got my samples in of the extreme procyon, Im impressed and will be ordering a case to start.

Many pre sprays will do this, but this stuff is 100% odorless you can smell the bottle doesnt even smell like water lol just nothing, its kind of weird.

I did this carpet at 16oz in a 4:1 hydroforce, bottle calls for 32oz in an 8:1 no booster, just straight procyon for the test

Pictures dont really show how nasty this place was, it was disgusting.. . every color stain, grease, filth, food spills everywhere. Not the worst ive seen but much darker than what you see in the pics.












The odorless can be good or bad, if your customers like a bit of a smell then you need to add a small amount of deodorizer if you clean rinse, we rinse with matrix all fiber which has a really nice smell. I feel really good about using this on a home that is going to have babies on the carpet, the contents of the bottle could be mistaken for water no joke.
