Stupid is as stupid does
I woke up today excited about getting to work on the trucks without rain for a change. In fact, it was mid 70's, sunny, and with light breeze....perfect.
Unfortunately, it didn't work out so well. The day started by stubbing my little toe against the weight bench. When I looked down, it was at about a 70 degree angle (not good). At least I was able to set it pretty cleanly and taped it up.
I removed the old silencer on the butler and while I was carrying the rebuilt silencer, I sneezed. Sneezing while carrying a 130 lb metal box is a bad idea and I ended up with a neck strain. The good part was the neck pain made the toe pain feel a lot less.
Then I spent 5 hours wrestling with this silencer. Installing this beast is quite a task. For one, it is very heavy and two, it is in a very tight space with very little room to play. I had to bust out the old rusted brackets and replaced with another used set after snapping off a bent bolt.....bruised the knuckles pretty good on that one.
I eventually got it all installed and will test it out tomorrow to see how much better the volume will be. I was feeling better about at least getting something done on a nice day, so I laced up the shoes and went for run.
Running for 5 miles on a busted little toe and strained neck is officially a really stupid thing to do. Seems obvious to everyone, but I sometimes channel my Evil Kneivel side and do stupid things.
I now sit here with an egg plant for a foot, my neck is killing me, and I have to be up in 4 hours to go to work. Stay in school kids....don't be an idiot.

I think Rob is part human and part machine, like the Million Dollar Man. I think I'll call him Steve from now on
Re: Stupid is as stupid does
Well, I am almost a million dollars short and about as sharp as a box of cotton balls at times. I'm just stubborn.
Re: Stupid is as stupid does
Hey Steve ! You really should be in California with that kind of attitude
