Yea, the heat really wears you down doesn't it?.........at least we don't have to deal with the high humidity often, although today it was pretty humid.

Re: I'm exhausted !
Try the "Russian Nap" method.
This was used by SPETSNAZ units and Olympic athletes for decades to get some needed rest on a short schedule. I've used it for years and yes, it does work.
You need two white ping pong balls. Cut them in half and throw away the halves with markings on them.
Now, lie down in a quiet room looking up at the ceiling light. Place the ping pong ball halves over your eyes and relax while facing the lighting fixture.
What will happen is that you will start to almost hypnotize yourself into relaxing. You might start to see colors dancing in your vision or else just the white light. Either case, your mind and body will start to relax deeply, without falling asleep.
I've read where they claim 15 minutes is equal to 4 hours of normal sleep to the body even though you never fall asleep. It just sort of feels like time has stopped for that 15 minutes. You will lose all sense of time and might find that only 3 minutes passed when you felt like it was 30 minutes.
Sure it sounds weird and you can laugh if you want, but try it once and see what happens. It got me through college while working 2 jobs and still helps me get by on a weekly basis where I only average 4 hours of sleep per night.
Good luck.

Re: I'm exhausted !
Looks like the Germans messed with the ping pong balls as well, but added static white noise to it.

As a disclaimer, I never got the hallucinations, but I would see cascading colors at times. The relaxation is real though.

Thanks for the tips Rob, with the way things are going, it will be a while for me to find the time to go to the sporting goods store and buy some ping pong balls, lol.

Well, just remember the old saying:
"It is far better to be old and bent, than to be young and broke"
I wouldn't mind that kind of schedule right now, things are not that hectic right now. I only have 4 jobs scheduled so far next week.

This sounds totally insane!!............but I believe you.
I'll have to try it.........but why do you throw away the half of ball with writing on it?....so it doesn't create something other than pure white light?

Re: I'm exhausted !
Not tripping....didn't know there were people using this technique for such a thing. I discovered it in an old training manual on the psychology of sport and used it to calm my nerves before my first marathon.
Yes Davey, you don't use the logo portion as it disturbs the white light. You are forcing your brain to react to the lack of stimulus, so the lettering would allow your brain to focus on it instead.

Re: I'm exhausted !
Looks like a ping-pong day Tuesday actually.
I have 2 houses in one city in the afternoon.
12,000 sqft commercial in the evening in another city.
Store front and offices in yet a third city.
Then up at 4 am to work a 13 hour day at the plant.
Ya know, even after typing this, I don't see how this is going to work out very well.

We will find out if they do.
I think I should be okay until about noon on Wed., that will be the test.

Re: I'm exhausted !
I started my day at 11 am today and just got done at 10:30, almost 12 hours day, tomorrow I have to start at 8 am, got 2 jobs plus 2 commercial buildings ( apartment ) hallways and stairs that I have to clean, plus at the end of the day I'm helping Dave out in Long Beach with 5600 sq ft commercial building, looks like it's going to be a 13 - 14 hours day tomorrow, and to think that this is 1st day of October, it feels like 1st day of July to me

Re: I'm exhausted !
So, without counting the residential square footage, we ( me and my tech ) actually cleaned close to 12,000 sq ft of commercial carpets, half of that was that building that Dave needs help on, boy am I glad this week is over !!
I'm guessing we cleaned a little over 20 k sq ft total this week including residential
