Yep....I live in an area that see's them often....They hit North of us a bunch....but we are always in that line. Moore oklahoma is where I go to eat when we go somewhere nicer than what we offer in my town thats very limited.

You lived in California. Earth or Tornado? I've never experienced a tornado but I would rather live in earth quake territory.
Re: Wheeeeew it's Hot.
Not me...Tornadoes are usually warned and you can take precaution. most that get hurt from them ignore....they always think, ahhh its not coming here until they see the funnel!

Re: Wheeeeew it's Hot.
Thats is cold for cali we had about 5 inches of snow today and over night low probably in the single digits up here in the forest.
Re: Wheeeeew it's Hot.
That is cold for CA.....you guys are ready for that.
We have been getting the warmest December that I can remember with steady temps in the mid 40's and upper 20's at night. Heck, the forecast is mid 40's for Christmas.....I grew up with 4 foot snow drifts and single digits for Christmas most years.
It has been raining a lot though which sucks. We got 3 inches since yesterday and when you get wet, those 40's don't feel too warm.
At 39, I would consider throwing a space heater in the van Dp. Water start to expand at 40....not really going to damage anything, but can affect seals.

Re: Wheeeeew it's Hot.
Low's in the upper 60's and highs in the low 80's. 15 to 25 mph trade winds. The weather here sucks.
I did get to do some serious bicycling this past week. 300 miles in eight days including climbing the mountains eight times. Think I'll take a break.

He is much safer on the bike.
The first time I went swimming in Hawaii, I ended up in a breeding area for hammerhead sharks. I stayed on land after that day for at least a month before trying again.

Re: Wheeeeew it's Hot.
Its funny how the locals in Hawaii yell "Shark!!" to the tourists as they're swimming at Sharks Cove
Re: Wheeeeew it's Hot.
Unfortunately the tropical sun takes a toll. I used to scuba etc. now I ride in the shade. A "socked" long wheel base bent means riding in the shade. Sun screen on the face and neck only. I still get one benefits8) of the beach when we cruise through Ala Moana beach park or Waikiki.

Re: Wheeeeew it's Hot.
I've had my share of burnt skin, so I do understand your desire to stay in the shade, but I really miss the scuba and the sailing.
Being from Rhode Island originally and living mostly at coastal bases for much of my life, it is really difficult some times to deal with the lack of an Ocean. I have a very good lake system 15 miles away, but it just isn't the same.....hard to have fun sailing in circles on a flat lake.
