It's not when you drive during icy conditions or open a hot sprayer full of HP. It's not when you have to lift a huge armoire to pad it and not when dealing with 230 live steam. The most dangerous part of your day is when you have to climb into the bushes to hook up a water connection to a hose bib. This is when you are at most risk to pick up a tick. Lime disease has become only one of a myriad of terrible diseases that you can now catch from these parasites. Powassan , Borelia etc, etc... The danger is real, it is debilitating and it is dangerous. So the odds are that when you climb into those bushes that is the largest risk you are taking- statistically anyway.

ps. Lime disease has been around for thousand of years and has probably been responsible for countless deaths and consequences these past millennia. OTZI the famous 10,000 year old mummy dug out of the ice on the italian /Austrian border tested positive for limes disease.

I don't feel so bad about carrying my own water after reading this. I never connect to the house bib, but I do agree with your point about ticks...they will be thick this year.

I fill up at home and very rarely need water from the custy. Good info though.
