For the last week now we have been in the upper 90's in the Midwest and the forecast shows the same for all this week. We have a little bit of rain coming as well, so the humidity should spike some too.

Around here, the phones don't ring when heat indexes are over the century mark like this, so this will likely be a very quiet week on the job schedule.

Hope someone is enjoying some nice cleaning weather.

Funny you mention that Rob.Its the same thing for Phoenix. When it gets too hot it slows down. Maybe people just dont want to have their doors open to let the heat or bugs in the house

I think the seal door things are a must when cleaning in a home with AC running.

keep the bugs out too. Not really needed here the weather is pretty mild, sunny and 70 today with a few drizzles

Spent the last 3 hours polishing / servicing all the tools and van for tomorrow and I am fried. Right now (5:19 pm) it remains Sunny and 97 degrees.

High is expected to be 98 degrees for the next 5 days and I have 2 full houses to clean tomorrow. Shocked

Oh, and neither trucks have A/C. The Butler unit never had it and the NPR has a bad condenser fan right now until parts arrive. Should be a 3 shirt day tomorrow. Mad

Damn !! The hottest day I've experienced was when in Scottsdale about 13 years ago, that was 116 degrees !! I can't imagine there is something higher than that !

It really doesn't matter much once it gets about 110 degrees. I remember being out in 29 Palms where it was around 125 degrees for a couple days. When it "cooled off" and dropped down to 112 degrees, it didn't feel any better.

At least in 29 palms its more rural. Phoenix is a concrete jungle and its just makes it even hotter. Its like stepping into an oven.

 I remember living in Phoenix when it hit 125. They had to shut down the airport so the tires on the lading gear wouldn't melt

I forgot about all the concrete...that is different.

I finished my first job about an hour ago and although the humidity is at 87%, the temps are only in the upper 70's. The second job isn't going until 3 pm at which time it should be over the century mark. Shocked

It was 117 heat index at 4 pm today. Inside of my van was 107 degrees before I started to clean. What it was after the blower was hot, who knows? Hell, it is still 97 degrees outside here at 9:30 pm!

Even my tires left rubber marks on the driveway just rolling out to the street. It looks like a teenager was doing burn-outs, Laughing

The only good part is that it is over. I made some good money today and now I am sitting back with a tall bottle of Italian Soda poured over crushed ice....not a bad day at all.

I dont know what is worse....the 119 dry heat Arizona has or the 98 with crazy humidity here ...laundry is huge here when Im wearing 3 shirts a day and so is my son. Stay hydrated!
