Groupon calls

On almost a weekly basis I get calls from a customer saying they purchased my Groupon special and want to schedule with me.....well, its not my company! It's another company about 120 miles away with the same name....what sucks is he is offering a $150 cleaning on Groupon for $60. What is this?...how is Groupon helping anyone with this type of offering? I assume they try and up sale the job. who uses this?...tell me about this crazy offering please. He gets the calls if Im getting one or two of them every week or two.....I just cant see playing the game of low price attraction at that level. I admit I give quotes over the phone that are lower than what I suspect they really may be BUT they never have Square footage for me so I don't shoot myself in the foot....I'm very honest with price upfront and show them when I arrive its the footage that makes the end price.

I thought groupon was dead. You probably dont want the groupon customer. The other company is probably out of biz

If that business is in the same county as you and you are registered in fictitious business license / name in that county, you can tell them to change their name.
Check their Groupon offer page and make sure the company's phone # is not yours, if it is, call Groupon and tell them to change it.
Groupon is definitely not for legit service business anymore.

He is still in business....he is far enough away its not an issue....he has a small setup and doest little work. I guess groupon was all he depended on.

Well....LMAO! I got a call from this again about 2 hours ago and I explained to the lady it wasn't me....she said How much do you charge....I said you wont use me! she said why?...I said you are using Groupon ....says to me it's only about money and not quality with you AND I understand bargains!....she says she is ALL about quality....we discussed my price versus his $60 special....I clean it Monday....it's right on the border of my distance but I want to show her service. $230

wow ! that's amazing, isn't it ? I have judged customers too from time to time of not scheduling because they just sound cheap and even though most of the time I'm right, there is always a few that blows my mind and scheduled appointments despite of my high prices.
