Re: May be tossing in the towel.
Hi MO Mike here I'm brand new to this board but in the business all my life. For the last 15 years I've gone to 1/2 the job's ( have 2 trucks) and had an assistant push the wand and move furniture and etc. I just be friends with the customer and watch movies eyes be made. I'm not all filthy and sweaty when I go home. No problem on my back. You should do the same.
Re: May be tossing in the towel.
I hope to do the same at some point Mike, nobody beats the ravages of time. Just need to get things built up a little more and find the right employees this time around.
Re: May be tossing in the towel.
You may be right Mo, I just don't see enough of those smaller jobs.
I don't think the wanding is the problem as much as it is the loading / unloading and dealing with hoses.
Working alone, I tend to step on a vac hose at least once on a job and roll my ankle. Luckily, my ankles are made of rubber, but it is just a matter of time.

Correction...I said 450 ..that was when both trucks were at it. The one in the video I think was running 300
Re: May be tossing in the towel.
Nice video, Mike, like the narration. Wish I found places with carpet that nice, finished my large one last night and it included 2 dead bats what were stepped on and the remnants of a cat that got too close to the alligators.
I run that same blower out to about 325 normally, could go more, but try to stay under 300 feet.
Looks like the gym offered a little of every type of surface to clean. Did you do the mats as well?

Re: May be tossing in the towel.
Yep the mats we did just what was really needed with the mounts and encapsulated the majority of them. The chairs I had my port guy on too. Bats and dead cat "Oh My". I live in so. Ca. I can't compete with the dead wildlife but I did have a newer Karistan with a Starbucks "Vente...cafe...lotte..mocha easy on the whip decaf" spill I had to clean up. (I wore gloves).
Re: May be tossing in the towel.
Regional cleaning is always so interesting to me. When I was working in North Carolina, we used to clean pigeon crap off building roofs and church gables to prevent Histoplasmosis threats.
I don't miss those days at all.

Re: May be tossing in the towel.
Yeah Mike it must have been exhausting taking a video of that job
Do you post pad the floor exercise mat? I was thinking about bartering at my daughters gymnastics club. There is a lot of chalk in there so a prevac is going to be important

Re: May be tossing in the towel.
That has always been my concern as well Mo....the powder. Talc is a rock after-all and does not break down in water so the vacuum would be vital. It could pose a problem in creases.
