Holiday Cleans
I just received a phone call from a gentleman who scheduled a house cleaning for the day after Christmas. It started out as a question regarding a bad coffee stain, but ended up with a whole-house cleaning after a short discussion about the dye used in decaf coffee. That topic always builds a customer's confidence and often leads to a booking.
I am just surprised by all these post-holiday cleaning requests. In years past, they never happened...at least not with me. I normally see the pre-holiday cleaning followed by a stain removal or two following the event. I am honestly surprised and pleased to be booking jobs a month in advance like this during a time that is often dead.
Best part is that these bookings are coming from referrals. In this particular case, he got my card from a gentleman that I cleaned for a year ago after his wife died. I really liked that guy and it was obvious that he was struggling with the loss, so I refused to accept his money. We talked for awhile, shook hands, and he asked for a stack of cards.
This booking will be the 6 person that ended up with one of those cards. Feeling pretty good today.

Re: Holiday Cleans
I believe that things always come back around. I always try to help others when I can....someday I might need that help as well. It does come back around, kindness boomerangs.

Building new customers, providing services the best of the best, the work sure pay off.
