What if you are called to clean this ?

I would up my insurance coverage for the day of the cleaning and will tag the additional premium to my cleaning price, I also would charge $ 0.80 / sq ft if the wall to wall carpet is synthetic and $ 2 / sq ft if they are wool.
If they have area rugs, I would charge double my normal rate for them and any other cleaning.

I did my fanciest ever last wednesday, not 250 million but it was way up there.

A guy named Marty calls super nice guy really casual on the phone and says he wants his basement and stairs cleaned.

Turned out he owns Trident seafoods, the biggest seafood company in the united states. House was about 15000 sqft, had a sky bridge going from main house to guest house, infinity pool with a big water fall.

He owns 10 acres of beach front in seattle, pretty expensive land. The basement turned out to be like 150ft long not including the movie theater we didnt clean.

The bar downstairs was prob 40ft and the entire wall behind it was a huge salt water fish tank.

I was blown away, how do you honestly get this rich?

Succesful parent/s ? Lucky or ambitious ? I was very ambitious 10 years ago, at this stage in my life I just want to be happy than rich, lol.
Did you charge extra AC ? Or you quoted him over the phone already ?

And don't yo can get rich by breaking the law too lol who says crime doesn't pay

He never asked about price go figure lol.. I prob could have said 1600 and he wouldnt care.

I think to get that rich you need to have all three.. somewhat successful family, luck, and be very ambitious. They also sued exxon valdez (sp?) for a lot of money in the early 90s for an oil spill in alaska that effected their fishing gains.

after that they bought out a ton of seafood companies, including tyson's seafood division.

very nice down to earth people the grandpa I read started out working on fishing boats in alaska eventually buying one, then 2, then 5... now they own a huge fleet of ice breakers.

she wants everything in the house done,     all the marble,   terrazzo,     the pool deck,    the 3 decks,    and about 6 showers/bathrooms,    plus their gym floor.

Woo hooo that would be $ 5000 job right there ! May be even more.

Nice AC thats like having 4 jobs at one location. Are you going to have both trucks out there on that one?

I usually put 2 vans on any job larger than 1500 bucks, make a good impression to customers, not only getting the job done faster and more efficient but if one truck breaks down, at least the other one can finish the job.
We still haven't gotten a confirmation on how much AC is making on this job, lol.
Don't worry AC, you're too far from me to ask you to take me to lunch because you make so much money, ha..ha....

The secret to being rich is a simple one really, you have to love money. I have watched my wealthy brother function my whole life and that is his whole secret, he looks at everything through a money lens. He walks into a restaurant to eat and he will calculate how much profit the place can make instead of enjoying the meal. Everything in his life is about money and getting more of it. That is the secret, if you only care about money, you will be focused on it at all times. It also looks like a miserable way to live to me....the 2 divorces of his probably backs me up.

Maybe the reason he thinks about money so much is because his wives took al his money

Funny thing is that was the excuse he gave for the divorces. He didn't like them spending "his" money. The first one had the nerve to remodel a bedroom into a nursery when he was planning on buying a new Harley Davidson....what a witch.

They did get a piece of the pie though....it would have been cheaper to stay married to the first one.

not sure how much it will come to, going to do the estimate next week. Its a lot of sq ft, the estimate alone will prob take a few hrs im sure.

theres two types of rich people the happy ones that live very fancy lives and still maintain tons of money in the bank and never stress

and theres the ones that are at or near their maximum for how rich they can look to their peers and they live a very stressful life putting so much energy into trying to be rich

the first type are usually very nice very laid back people, the second type is the type that will scream at you if your 5min late

I have always found that you will know within 5 minutes which kind you have by the way they treat you. Just like every customer, there are the kind that treat you like they are ordering around a horse, and then there are the kind that invite you in like a guest....maybe offer you a bottle of water.

I have no use for the first type and never clean for them a second time.
