Cleaning coup has occurred

I mentioned in a previous post that my main contract has been slower this year to schedule cleanings than at any time in the last 4 years. There were some behind the scenes talk about the problem being isolated to the Custodial Manager trying to save the budget or else just being poorly organized and that the other managers were about fed up with the unsanitary conditions.

Today, I was asked to schedule 7 buildings next month to include the Theater....close to $10,000 in work. I love getting my September booked with another 3 weeks left in the month.

My business grave may have been dug this Summer, but there is no casket yet....I will live a bit longer.

It will be a busy month as they are not easy cleans, but I will be smiling anyway. Now if I can just get some more local stuff on the schedule it could be a really good fall yet.

They just booked an additional 3 buildings for later this month as well. I guess we are going to make up for some of those missed cleanings before October. Unless things break down or I fall apart, this should be the best 2 months of the year by far.

I am still expecting the fall increase in residential as well yet now that the kids are heading back to school.

Things are somewhat decent this week for me, still much slower than normal, 18 jobs total so far with 2 jobs scheduled for tomorrow, hope none of those 2 cancels or reschedules, been getting quite a few of those this week.
Still haven't broken $ 2000 in a day yet this year
That usually happened by June, I doubt it will happen this year

Working on the weekend? Is that a new thing for you?

The gang at Interlink said that they saw a lot of their customers go under this Summer, but did report a solid up-tick since Aug 1st. Hopefully, it will continue to grow.

I work most Saturdays, hopefully with some competitors out of the market, we get busier a bit, I doubt it will have some effect on me in my market though.

It keeps raining commercial jobs....3 more buildings added before the end of the month. I am burning up a lot of fuel, but looks like I might break the $10,000 barrier this month.

So glad your getting busy. Those slow time you wonder "did my customers move, die, or use someone's coup"?

It is a very good thing Matt, but the scary part is that it is still all from the same contract. There is hardly any residential calls to go along with it. That part still has me very worried about being able to stick around.

At least my dance card is filled several days per week for a little while yet.
