Racist Customer - funny !

This lady called, heavy Chinese accent, asked me some questions about cleaning, answered them, she then asked what kind of employees do you have ? I said “huh ?” She asked whether the employees are Mexicans or Americans ? I said well we have different ethnicities worked, she then asked, there is no Chinese right ? She dislike Chinese workers, I got annoyed and told her, ma’am this is California, there are people from all over the world here, if you don’t like certain race, then may be you should call someone else, surprisingly she made appointment anyway.

I went there yesterday and cleaned the carpet, her husband and her were very happy with the result, we had conversation after I’m done, it turned out they are from Wisconsin and they told me that in their town, there are only 6 foreigner families but everyone were nice towards them and the foreigners.

I don’t understand the hypocrisy here, you are foreigners yourself but you don’t like foreigners ? Local people treat you nicely and you can’t even return the favor towards your own kind ? It’s mind boggling.

I watch a few channels on YouTube of people that moved to China. I can understand WHY she may not want another person from there doing work for here.

Scammers are everywhere in China. If they think you have any money at all, many of them will find ways to part you with whatever money of yours they can. And we both know that when someone was born and raised in another country, that those old habits/ways die hard.

Not saying what she did was right, but I can understand maybe where she is coming from. Besides the fact that Chinese people are pretty direct. If they think you are fat, they will tell you straight up. Perhaps her and her spouse have money and they are used to people from her country trying to run a scam on them.

My wife used to work in golf resort in China and she told me stories that's unbelievable, like if you tripped and fall, they would laugh at you instead of helping you, just horrible cultural stories.

And yes they are rich and stingy, lol, but I stick to my price, and they caved, they were friendly people, I'm just baffled with her attitude but then again I know I can be like that under certain circumstances, like this one instance where I went to the DMV and as I walked towards the end of the line, a kid ( around 8 - 9 years old ) ran towards the end of the line and beat me to it, then his mom and little sister arrived a couple of seconds later, I don't wanna say their race but I remembered I was pissed off and was going to say something snarky, only to find out they won't understand them anyway because they start conversing with dmv security guards in foreign language.

Another story was I was talking with a police officer ( a customer ) about these race thing, he's half white and half Vietnamese but he looks like he's hispanic, he told me that when he's on duty and someone started talking in Spanish to him and he told them that he doesn't understand, they got mad at him, and after we talked for a good 15 - 20 minutes about all of these issues with politics and race and police officers, he told me, look you can say those things you just said but if they come out of my mouth, I'll be damned.

The time has changed, that's for sure.
