Working on the end of the year already

It is very depressing being a cleaner during the winter around here. Work slows down to a crawl during the bitter cold stretches and the funds dwindle. If not for commercial work, a cleaner could be playing cards with the Maytag repair man for 4-5 months. With that in mind, I have been fishing hard trying to find some more commercial work and landed a healthy fish today. A Banquet hall of 6,500 sqft just signed a 12 month contract for monthly cleanings. I kind of hate cleaning large halls, but it will be nice to have during the next winter as well as some income boost during the warm months.

I do love anchor jobs to reduce the stress of the unknown.

I meet with the charity co-ordinator tomorrow for coffee and to drop off my certificates. I am hoping it leads to a few jobs at the medical building as well. Just trying to get some momentum going for what I hope to be a solid 2018.

My meeting with the Charity went really well and "might" get my foot in the door of the local school district as the co-ordinator was a retired highschool teacher and gave me a few inside tips on how the contracts have been handled in the past. That would be a big win as their are 7 large schools in this area.
