Back up TM waste tank lid; made of fiberglass. It's strong, holds under vac of a 47 blower.

Blue hose from wood lid goes on side of TM, then infront to RC99(2" hose) bypassing the 1.75" port the TM has. After setting this up, I wished I'd got 2.5" RC99 and done 2.5" hose from waste tank. Oh well. It works. AND I took off the PC blue metal face plate and one of the white top covers(for air flow). That blue plate must weigh about 40lbs.

Re: afew(tim taylor) TM mod's
Hey, whatever works right!?!
My friend rolls like that, uses whatever is laying around to keep his TM going. Bubble gum, Elmer's Glue, duct tape, and even a nail to replace his lost bolt that holds on the valve on his wand.
I personally like function and looks, so I'm not normally doing things that way unless in a bind and it's temporally necessary .
Not saying either way is right or wrong, just different ways, and like I said above, whatever works!

I'm with ya on that 2.5 hose. I'm thinking about going all 2.5 from TM to wand. Yes I am.

2.5" is WAY to stiff to be bringing in the house....or rather to the wand...do a 25' 2" whip
Re: afew(tim taylor) TM mod's
I'd also bet it's safe to say it's unsafe LOL to not have the radiator protected. OF course unless you have a few hundred bucks laying 'round to replace it!?
BTW did ya notice how much louder the TM became after removing all the panels?? :albino:

I'm having a lighter cover made. No noticeable diff in the noise. In fact, a few dusty's have commented how quiet the machine is. So Davey "how do you know"? Had to ask.
And, ya-i have a few hundrew bucks laying around. In fact I'm scared I might have to pay taxes this year.

Re: afew(tim taylor) TM mod's
Speaking of open machines. Les experimented with a insulated wrap on the blower to quite it down. Do you remember what it was Floor Guy? I'll have to check out the video again
