Foster Shutoff valves:
So far, they have held up very well. The handles remain tight and I have yet to see any failures, even at psi up to 800. There only negative might be for the high-heat guys as the brass is exposed and can get pretty hot. Maybe cover them in insulation of some kind....good choice in shut-offs.
Schieffer Skinny:
I just upgraded my hoses to these about a month ago. I have been forced to use them at temps down in the negatives and across the snow and ice on many occassions. They hold the heat well, remain very easy to work with, and they allow me to fit more on the reel. They seem to have a little stretch to them that other hoses do not have that was noticeable when pulling them off the reel...don't know if that is good or bad for longevity, but we'll see.
One of the great things about this skinny hose is that it actually fit beneath the sliding entry doors at many of my store fronts that I clean. My regular hose would get trapped and sometimes cut when those doors would roll over a line.

It small, but to have one extra red shut off grip would be nice. That is the only thing that wears. I have had two develop pin holes at the middle connect joint. I'll send it to ya Joe. I think I saved it. I think. I have used these for a year now.
No complaint only happy happy happy with the skinny.
